Changing brake pads, piston not going back in
So im changing my brake pads for the first time, the front ones...
I'm not incompetent when it comes to car repair, but i'm having trouble getting the piston back in. Everything is where it needs to go, but the caliper won't fit back on due to the piston being out about 2cm.
HELP!!!!!1

Since you figured it out, i would say this topic needs to be locked or deleted before you go shitting out of your mouth again.
I would say, YOU NEED TO GROW UP.

Re: Changing brake pads, piston not going back in
You used the word 'incompetent' do you even know the definition? It means to lack the skills or knowledge to do something. You came here and asked for help, why? Because you lacked the skill or knowledge to do something, hence, you're incompetent. And no, you didn't figure it out, you were told how to do it. And why are you looking in the manual on how to compress the cylinder, you should be looking at how to compress the 'caliper piston'.
Yes, resort to cursuing since you're obviously a bad man who can kick everyone's butt.

Re: Changing brake pads, piston not going back in
The brake fluid reservoir might be too full.
Open your hood.
Wrap a rag around your brake reservoir.
Unscrew the brake reservoir cap and rest it on its side.
If you have too much brake fluid in the reservoir, it will spill on to the rag as the caliper's cylinder is pushed.
