Cars not starting
Whats up everybody i'm new to the site, a friend told me about it when i asked him for some advice with my integra.....So heres the deal I have a 94 LS with about 135,000 miles on the motor, tune up was done last summer never had a problem with the car besides the alternator going a few months ago. I have been meaning to get the timing belt done for about a month now and just haven't had the time to do it or take it somewhere. Last week after a day of driving i park my car and call it a night. The next day i go to move the car and she won't turn over. She just cranks and attemps to start but nothing...
Over the weekend I checked the minor stuff like fuel pump, spark plugs, fuses, ignition...Everything seemed fine, the fuel pump was pumping, the plugs were clean, the wires weren’t frayed or anything. I removed the valve cover and the belt was tight and turning with the motor. When I checked for spark it didn’t have spark so I figured it to be the distributor.
Since my brother has the exact same car, a 94 LS, I decided to switch the distributors to ensure that it infact was the distributor. His distributor didn’t start mine nor did mine start his. This is when everything started getting crazy. I removed my distributor from his car and put his distributor back on his car. When I removed it his car was fine. Once I put his distributor back on his car his it did not start. I was bugging. I messed with it for like an hour. What may have messed up his distributor? His was fine, all I did was remove his and put it on mine to test it. I am stuck right now with two cars that don’t work.
Has anybody ever heard of something like this? His car was fine until his distributor was put on my car. What might have happened? Did my car mess up his distributor, or did my distributor knock his car out of timing? Any suggestions………………

Re: Cars not starting (showstopper2178)
take off the valve cover, yank on the timing belt. It if comes off, its broke. there you go. my personal advise, take it to a mechanic, Unless you have air-tools.
edit: however, it probably something else. But casue this just happened to me, I think everything is timing belt related. bad story.
