Default A/C problems i could use alot of help

ok, this is what is wrong with the car. i bought it like this so i don't know where to start.
from the looks of things seems like the a/c would work but it doesn't. im not sure if it needs to be recharged or not but. when i turn on the a/c the car acts as if i never turned it on. usually it drops idle or something. well at least that is what happened in my old car. im asking for advice from these pictures because i am on a mechanic so i don't know much about a/c units.

if you guys could post a few words of advice that would be great.

get like a pen or something sharp and press it were you refuel the ac at and see if anything comes out or not. Might need to be refueled, if not might be the compressor. does the fan go on when you press the AC button.

When you push the button to turn your AC on does the compressor spin at all? What about both of the AC lines that are going to the compressor, they're both touching your dump tube. Aren't you worried about them melting?
