A/C Condensor fan isnt coming on
hello fellow H-Ters, hope everyone that went to IA in tn had a fun time cause i know i did lol..anyways, i recently installed a/c back into my car (94' integra with a b18cR) and it was working greatly. then i noticed that the condenser fan would not turn off when the car is off. so i unplugged it, and plugged it back up, same results. so i unplugged the battery for about 20 min to change my battery tray for a new one, and when everything was plugged back on, the fan decided to stop working with the car on or off. i changed out the relay with new oem relay, i changed out the condenser fan fuse under the hood. can anyone shine some light on why it wouldnt be coming on? i jumped the fan straight from the battery and it comes on fine, so the fan is working itself. a problem i might see is that, i have my radiator fan wire looped to each other on the thermostat housing so that it is always on, could that be a main factor? thank H-T in advance

Re: A/C Condensor fan isnt coming on
both fans are off with the ign. off, but when the ignition is on, the rad. fan comes on( because of the loop on the thermo. housing) but when i turn my a/c on, the condenser fan doesnt come on...

out of curiosity, why do you have the rad fan hard wired? not a good idea to have it running continuously.
secondly, when you hit the ac switch on the dash, does it illuminate?

Same question, when you turn on the A/C, does switch light up, does A/C compressor clutch engage, are you getting cold air from your vents???94

1)i hard wired my rad. fan because the sensor housing broke off, ordered new sensor coming in tomorrow morning, 2)the light on the center console illuminates only on 1, and it dims down as i go higher(noticed that today), and the a/c clutch engages and no cold air..=(

No cold air when A/C is on, [compressor clutch engaged]is an indication that the refrigerant charge is low.
It would not account for the condensor fan not turning on, [if compressor turns on so should the condensor fan. 94
