just let the bodyshop get the right bolts ... using home depot bolts will look like *** ... remember most of the bolts are "special bolts"and using home depot stuff may not hold your bumper right ...

Whatever you do, please don't buy home depot or any hardware store bolts. Most stores like that stock low carbon grade bolts which are less than grade 5 in US spec and less than property class 8.8 in metric. These bolts are readily available and are very brittle. I used to sell grade 5/8's and class 8/10/12's to shops and it is worth the little extra money. Last thing you want is a low carbon bolt on your LCA.

Just my 2c, but let the mechanics use their bolts in the shops. You'd be surprised to know how much they stock, as my company is responsible for filling those very bins.

Good luck either way,

Junior

i have one more question, will the result be as good as oem? i dont want to have gaps between the bumper and fenders if you guys know what im talking about. i like it perfect. thx

It depends on the shop. Some shops do okay work and other shops take their time to make their work as perfect as they can get it. This is where money is usually a facter. Generally, the more money you pay, the better results & quality you will get but sometimes that's not always true. Find a reputable shop and ask for an estimate.

please don't pay a shop to do that stuff. Everything you said is incredibly easy to do.

if you pay a shop to do this, you don't need to be modding your car.
go to a junkyard and get the screws, or find someone parting out an integra.
even a hardware store has some of the things you need.

chill yo... he's gotta get the parts painted while they are off the car anyways.. no need to put together the car only to have the bodyshop take it all off again..

if u plan on doing the home depot thing plan on bringing someones integra to home depot just to borrow screws to compare sizes of screws.. u can easily find bolts for your cornerlights, hood, splash guard.. then u have to stand in line just so u can see if it fits on the car.. such a hassle..

but then again honda has all these screws in stock for you and they are the right screws/bolts for the job.. i would let the honda guys dig out the parts for you.. u'll probably also need to pickup a few of the metal brackets ur missing as well (side plate, side seal, side clips, upper stiffner, corner light bracket holder thingie).. visit the parts department and tell them what u got and that u need all the screws, etc...

check out a helms manual.. there are lots of special metal or plastic screws and things u just wont find at a hardware store..

I agree. Helms or Chilton will show bolt diameter, pitch, and hardness ratings too.

If you want this done right and paint/fitment looking good (and you're not doing it yourself), bring it to an Acura dealer. Spend the extra money.
