Default Beware of inlinefour.com

I am building a 95 teg drag car and i purchased a set of valves from inlinefour.com for a gsr head. The valves i recieved looked like they had been burried in the ground for a year. The stems of the valves are so baddly pitted up that they are unusable. I have called numerous times and emailed them pics of the valves. Their reply to me was try to pawn them off to someone on craigslist. Being the honest person that i am I replied why the hell would i sell someone a set of worthless valves. If that is their mentality i would suggest not doing business with them.

Exactly, but why not just go straight to the source in the first place?

InlineFour use to be a good place, but now their prices seem about double what you can buy stuff anywhere else...

These guys are bad news.
I purchased a Jackson Racing Kit from them last spring and was told over the phone that the kit was new and I would receive the kit in a few days. After a week, I still did not have it so I gave them a call. They told me then that the kit was opened, missing some parts and had been used on one of their show cars for about 500 miles. I asked why I was told that the kit was new when I purchased it and the salesman said he didn't know.
Then he proceeded to tell me that the kit was missing a few pieces. At this point I wanted to speak to manager, I got Brandon the owner. He did nothing but feed me lie after lie. He told me that he was in contact with Moss Motors to round up the missing pieces of the kit so it could be shipped to me. I believe him, he seemed like a stand up guy.
Weeks went buy and I was calling these guys every couple of days, Was still getting the run around from Brandon. He was claiming that Moss Motors hadn't shipped the missing parts to him yet and that was the hold up. My Visa had already been billed the full amount weeks ago mind you!
After listening to Brandon's BS for about 5 weeks I took it upon myself to call Moss Motors and check for myself. To my surprise I was able to get Brandon's so called contact on the phone (guy named blaine) and he gave me the bad news. Inlinefour or Brandon had never contacted him or placed any orders at Moss Motors. I was pissed at that point!
I immediatly called inlinefour and told them to refund my money now! I said that I wanted my Visa refunded over the phone and they said that they couldnt and would take care of it later!
I filed a fraud dispute with Visa and was refunded a couple of days later.
I am convinced that Inlinefour was trying to stall this transaction as long as they could as with my bank you can only dispute a charge for 45 days. Inlinefour stretched this for about 38 days and apparently made no effort to send my what I had purchased. They fed my nothing but lies.
I will never Purchase a thing from this company and would recommend anyone planning to do business with them to use caution. The last time i checked their website that Jackson Supercharger kit was still on their website for sale, waiting to try and shaft the next guy out of $2600 I presume

i agree i had a bad transaction with them i paid for my order, they didn't have the one of the items and it had been discontinued but they never mentioned anything about it to me. nor did they send the rest of the order it took me calling them to no end to even find that out.. so that was it for me

unfortunately, and this is somewhat off topic i've had a bad transaction with password jdm over some side marker harness/wiring when i've ordered thousands of dollars worth of other parts from them

kingmotorsports is who i usually order everything from now never had any issues with them

i dont really trust a company that uses generic pictres for used parts.
if you sell used parts then inventory every single part(ebay stores can do it so can you)
i lost their trust when they started selling the carbon lined gears claiming them as their own even though they were just packaging them under IL name.
and so are the OEM spec pistons that they sell are also nothing more than repackaged ebay pistons that everyone uses to build their hondas(they said the pistons are specially designed for IL4 but never said what exactly is special about them...

very stupid of a business to chase after a dollar and loose many customers and possible 1000s of dollars in process.

as i understand it:
i as a customer have a right to get my product in timely manner and as described.
i send you money i dont pay you in monopoly money.
soi would expect you to deliver a product as described and on time.
if you cant then contact the customer and work it out with them dont wait till the customer calls you

and about craigslist that is kinda fd up but unfortunately many people that bought junk sht cant afford to take that 100-1000 dollar hit and discard the parts. so they turn around and CL that crap and it keeps circulating for years untill it is completely messed up from everyone trying to fix it...

if people would check more carefully and sellers were honest about their cht we wouldnt have as many problems as we do now.

btw OP i didnt see you list what kind of valves were they.

did you buy them on clearance? were they used OEM set of valves or were they supposed to be brand new?
post a picture of them

General "discussion" and "debate" As far as I can tell 90% of those people don't even own hondas lol

we're all doctors and lawyers in gdd. from time to time we mingle with you little people in these sub forums

it's also where things like the big skunk2 fiasco take place

long story short, skunk offered a cash bounty on a member here who exposed their business model as nothing more than re stickered china made parts

lol drama

you can tell who is who by the post count and what percentage of that count is from general section.

anyone care to vote to exclude the post count from general section that way we know how much a member actually contributes to the HT besides BSing about hipsters and hella fluch.

i will be nice to you since your avatar is actually pretty awesome

but

you've been here since 2005 and still didn't know that gdd posts don't count in your total?

btw, we don't talk about hella flush unless it's being made fun of, then it's acceptable

or happens to be a hellaflush skateboard, that's also kind of cool.
