ROFL your sig cracks me up. HAHAHHAHA
I believe the newer generation heads are known to flow a little bit better compared to the older generation heads. Hence you get a few more HP.

Better cam. Intake cam is the same on both, but the duration on the b18b exhaust cam is higher. Not even noticable in my opinion. Also some b18a's had 130hp and some b18a's had 140, depending on year.

Re: b18a1 vs b18b head (BLUE EH3)
The b18b head has SLIGHTLY larger ports. Period. That is the only difference between a BARE b18a1 head and a bare b18b head. HTH.
If you are going to be porting the head it makes no difference which one you use. If not, you'll be fine with either - the difference is negligible.

Re: b18a1 vs b18b head (BLUE EH3)
90-91 B18a has 130hp
92-93 B18a has 140hp
94+ B18B has 142hp
That leads me to belive that 92+ heads are exacly the same that includes cams and all. But intake manifold is different. And only 2 HP more for the better intake manifold.
