Are all B-series oil dipsticks universal?
I grabbed one out of a b18b and i have a b18c1 in my car. My oil level is a lil overfilled if this dipstick is universal for all b-series. Will this hurt the car?

Re: Are all B-series oil dipsticks universal? (phanatic)
the LS and GSR oil pans are a different size so the dip sticks may be different but not by much
check the level on the LS one and then on the GSR one to see if they are different, if so then remember where the oil on the LS stick sits when the GSR dipstick indicates the full level

yes they are all the same
the ls and gsr have the same part number for the dip stick
the ls does have a larger oil pan which holds 4.5 quarts compared to gsr which holds 4 quarts

Are you sure? Remember, the LS (B18B engine) takes 4.0 quarts to do an oil change (including filter), whereas the GS-R (B18C1) takes 4.2, according to the service manual.
