I do this at night, since their all gone by the time i have to go to class. I'm sure its still could be stolen, but it makes things a lot harder on the thieves, and they can't just back up a tow truck without moving the other car first. Not an "unstealable solution", but it makes things a bit more difficult. Just thought i'd throw that out there.</TD></TR></TABLE>
It also helps to have a lot light in your driveway. Most car thieves are a bunch of pu%&*#! who hide in darkness and are afraid of well lit areas.
I learned my lesson the hard way...my driveway now looks like a night game at Yankee Stadium.

Re: Add another to the stolen list (Chris L)
We should all have Honda-tech etched in big letters onto our windshields or maybe wild custom paintjobs. There could be some value to cheap *** APC graphix kits. All this would make the car very reckognizable in the event of a theft. Maybe ricing oout ain't such a bad idea. They use tow trucks to steal cars apparently, because ppl post about cars being stolen despite elaborate anti theft devices.

Did you have a pin switch for your hood wired to the alarm?
What about a tilt sensor?
I am still amazed you successfully deterred theft 4 times prior!
I'm in Northern VA right now, I'll keep my eyes open.

Update:
I received a voice mail from Baltimore County Police tonight while I was out. Baltimore City Police found my car sometime today. I don't know the condition yet, but will find out tomorrow. It's at an impound yard right now.

Wow...at least they left a decent amt of parts. You hopefully should be able to buy it back from the ins company and sell it for a small profit.
What a shame

Re: Add another to the stolen list (newgsrdriver)
At this point, I probably will not buy it back. The only reason is that I don't have anywhere to store it. It the ins. company (State Farm) won't pay me for some of the mods that I don't have reciepts for, I'll take those off and sell them later. Here's a small list of stuff that is left:
- RS*R exhaust. Tailpipe was fill with mud and rocks from unloading it off of tow truck.
- Koni shocks and H&R springs.
- Not sure if the JDM ITR rear sway bar is still there or not.
- Rota C-8s. They did manage to get some of the lug nuts off (McGard Spline Drives and a lock on each wheel), I don't know why they didn't take them. I also didn't pay attention to how much they damaged the wheels getting the nuts off.
That's pretty much it. I've spent most of my free time looking for old receipts or printing prices off the web so that I can give them an idea on how much I spent on stuff.

in this pic it looks like they didn't even touch the ignition... did they start it w/ a screwdriver or you think they towed it?

I'm almost thankful my GS-R was never found...I don't think I could bare to see my car like that. Especially since it was in mint condition prior to the theft.

Thanks for the info, but I was specifically talking about the 4door GSR
Chris: sorry to hear about your loss... lemme know when you're getting rid of the exhaust though

f#ck, the 2poor and 2furious strike again...they probably couldnt afford a gsr, so they jacked it to put your engine in their little peice of sh*t civic. Just wait till you get a place to put a modded car and then rebuild with a vengeance....

Actually, they did. I didn't think so either at first, but when I was cleaning my stuff out I noticed the trim ring around the ignition was laying on the floor.

The only reason I'm glad that it was found is because now I don't have to wait as long to deal with my insurance company. I signed the paperwork on Friday so that State Farm could pick it up. I'll give them a call on Monday to see what they say.

I'm not sure if anyone would want it. The tailpipe was packed solid with mud and rocks from where the tow truck dropped it off the rollback and the impound yard.
