Is there any specific page that says this? I kind of want to print it out to have it on hand in case they deny the replacement. The seatbelts in my 1997 Integra no longer retract and it's messing with my head.

I think the dealers have different owners and the people who work their dont know everything, you should talk directly to Acura itself if possible, some **** happened with my friends Nissan, these privately owned franchises dont want to do ****

Both of my seat belts in the front driver and passenger of my 2001 gsr sometimes just unclick by themselves. And yes, I am sure that they are completely and properly inserted. This rarely happens, probably just once or twice a month. Anybody think I should take them in to get them checked? And do you think the dealership would charge me if I told them that I think they may be defective, but seem to work most of the time?

So if I unbolted my driver side belt when I was stripping my panels on and off the warranty is voided correct?

My belts are just fine, but free seatbelts are very tempting...

so here's what happened,

I called a Honda dealer near me, I told them i had a 91 integra and asked if there was a lifetime warranty on seatbelts. The guy leaned over to his buddy and asked him if they took care of tensioners for seatbelts? He got back on the phone and said yea, they'd have to order the parts needed but sure no prob. I told them I'd come in thursday morning (tommorow). TEN MINUTES later i got a call back from them saying they were mistaken and I'd have to go to an Acura dealership to have the warranty honored.

Is this for real, or is the franchise to lazy to take the hit for the warranty?

no. they're not going to deal with it unless they have to. therefore, you're gonna have to take it to acura. stick to your guns when you go in. my local dealership gave me a hard time about the whole thing before giving me $1500 in parts and labor for free. they don't like to do it, but if you push them, they'll pretty much have to (at their discretion).
