GSR(B18C1) hands down especially if boost is in your sights, the ls's weak point is it's rods(an other things). GL finding a clean gsr tho

if you're upgrading the internals it won't matter as much, but the ls has an 89mm crank vs the 87mm of the gsr so a little more TQ however you'll need to go the lsv set up with it then.. so I'd say which ever is in better shape.

i would get the GSR main reason is that the LS use and old school oil oiling rod design that makes their rod bearing to crank surface smaller the the GSR. the B18C1 block uses a oiler system that if off the block and squirts oil at the bottom of the piston this will give you better cooling and lubrication for the pistons with the turbo. either way you go you will want a GSR water pump and timing belt. this is because the GSR water pump drive gear has 22 teeth ver's the 19 tooth LS pump it will flow better at high rpm with the GSR pump. and you need the GSR Tbelt for the larger water pump pulley.

all the other stuff i would note here is pretty common for any build like cams, valve springs, valve guides, scrap the Stock intake... Bluh bluh bluh
