Tell us the four characters after the "JH4D" in the VIN. We can tell you the model from that.

Well, we now know it's a 2-door.

Tell us the three characters after the "DA9" in the VIN. We can tell you the model from that.

gsi/xsi is not related to the north American market, and yes it is doesn't make it a bad car tho, i'd rock one if it was clean.

yah lower trim,less engine. you CAN get a VTEC head and go LSV will have more torque(89mm crank) then a gsr off the bat but unless you do ARP rod bolts you can't rev as high.

I recommend it IF it's done right, or else you have your self an oil staved ticking time bomb. LSV in a DA9 shell would be fun

For '90-'93, the model range for North American DA9s went like this:
RS = cheapest model (DA9x4)
LS = midrange model (DA9x5)
GS = high-end model (DA9x6)
GS with leather interior = top-line GS (DA9x7)

The "x" above denotes the transmission. 3 = manual, 4 = automatic. My car is a DA934.

If your car is a '92, the 10th character of the VIN should be an "N".

Please note that the use of the term "LS" to denote a non-VTEC engine is something made up by Internet users. Honda never used that terminology.

so my car is not the cheapest in north america right? Being the Gs is high end? is the gs with leather interior the one with VTEC? So my engine is not LS Thats something everyone just says.

Correct.

No.

LS has nothing to do with the engine. It is only a sub-model code for the car. RS, LS, GS, all have the same engine (B18A), without vtec.

If you meant that the GS is the cheapest in your response, that is NOT TRUE, what TheRealTegger said is correct. Rs is the cheapest (manual windows and locks, no sunroof).

Engine is a B18A1, the B18B1 wasn't until the 94 model year in the DC chassis.

Damn, people. Stop spreading around incorrect information -__-

Exactly, either swapped or they've had an LS-Vtec conversion done.
DA9's are all 2 door and have a B18A1 (non vtec) engine.
DB2's are 92-93 GS-R Integra's which had the rare B17A1 (vtec) engine
