97 GS-R value? Opinions/Comments welcome
Im selling my E36 M3 to free up some monthly cash for a house payment and have the opportunity to pickup a 97 Integra GS-R with a little under 100k miles from my parents. Just had a new clutch installed and a repaint d/t some hail damage. Its a one owner car with a few light mods: DC exhaust, CAI, header, some springs/wheels (also has stock wheels/tires.) Was "mom" driven and was basically a highway car for her.
Whats the going rate for one of these? Is KBB accurate? Ive known and driven the car throughout its life and it runs great but as far as I can remember it always seemed like it consumed/consumes oil. There are ZERO oil leaks but it just seems like it needs to be topped off quite a bit...moreso than others cars at least.
What would you offer? It would basically just be a commuter car for me. Dad is thinking 5k, Im thinking hes crazy and its worth 4k or less. Appreciate any help/comments as I know next to nothing about Integras-
Thanks,
Sam

well, i paid 4500 for my 97 gsr with 40k miles on it 2 years ago. had intake, exhaust and candy paint job. But then again, aftermarket parts usually lower value.

you were just extremely lucky or bought a car w/ a damaged title..
i just bought a 94 GSR, mint w/ 66k miles for 7,000
low-ish mileage GSR's are hard to come by now days, its probably worth 5-5500

that is easily worth more than $5500 if the title is clean. i sold my old 1994 ls for $4220 with the same minor boltons and 142k miles.
i bought my 2000 gsr with 104k miles for $8000.

Thanks guys, the title is clean - car looks great, interior can use some "cleaning up" but nothing to really fault. Its got almost 100k so its not perfect. Appreciate your replies-

Re: (coldfusion)
coldfusion - I know, it sucks. Luckily I have a modified 944 turbo in the garage as well to make up for it.
Estoril, my favorite M color! Mine was Cosmos metallic - after I drive the Integra for awhile Ill prob try and pickup either a low mileage 99 Estoril M or a White S2000.
