Guys i recently just acquired a one owner GSR Teggy from Virginia teal with 177,000 miles. I know that is alot but the guy i got it from was in his early 50s the car was not beat and it has all the service records from when he bought it with 100 miles on it, everything is stock oem foglights gsr hammer and the interior is nice. I got some ideas what i wanna do to it, i would like to hear some suggestions i was thinkin jdm front? and lower it. Tell me what you think

I'd say start of with ur suspension and do the bolt-ons, but it all depends what u are going for in the long run, if u jess want it for looks then i guess u can go for the JDM front... i personally would do that last

if you want to get off to a quick start and add some of your own personality to the car i would do a nice suspension setup........ maybe some koni's and ground control coilovers???
if i was in your situation the only bolt-on (as far as HP gains) would be a decent exhaust system.
then do nothing but save up for a lil rebuild of the motor then boost it......... seriously i wouldnt do much in the ways of bolt on NA stuff........ but it really depends on what you want.....

Hey man don't phEAr the mileage factor! I'm tickin 192k this week, and I too bought my teg from an older man who babied it. (@ 145k) This guy had every receipt from every oil change
But anyways as far as mods most people will suggest a nice suspension setup and a few bolt-ons. If you are into looks, definately go with the 98+ itr front, it's very aggressive looking, imo. My personal first mods would be drop, tint, rims, nitrous, in that order.
Good luck, hope you enjoy the new teg

I do a compression and leakdown test before I do anything to the engine period. I wouldn't take a guy's word in face value. For all you know he could be saying anything to make you buy the car. also do a complete check on the suspension & brake system. after 177k there's a good chance some of the bushings, ball joints, shocks, etc... are definitly worn down.
do all that BEFORE you do ANY modifications to the car. pay a little now are pay ALOT later.

personally, i would start with suspension and then move on to i/h/e. but do what you want. who cares what we think. it is your car now and you can do whatever you want to it. but also think about what you want out of the car. good luck and it sounds like you got a pretty good car. it is always nice to have those service records on hand.

Re: 95 GSR need some advice (vidanator)
all depends on goals remember...
if u wanna start on suspension 1st ... id say for lowerin koni yellows... (just personal views from reviews) then id would do somethin like a sway bar somethin cheap yet very effective ... go on to some other minor things
and u hav to ask ur self where u wanna go wit this car daily driver that is a bit fun or all out ... then ask ur self NA or Turbo think bout miles condition when u gonna hav to rebuilt or even swap out ... i wouldnt just jump on that jdm conversion ... (but that is just me) i think the 94-97 looks pretty decent if u do it rite ...
got to give goals to work wit
and GL wit the GSR!
