Well i've already bought the GReddy 18G, manifold, downpipe, 450CC injectors, resistor box, new GReddy air filter, heat shield. I really would like to rid my 450CC injectors & resistor box for some 310CC's.

Living in Springfield, why would you have to worry about anything being legal? All you gotta worry about is your headlights, tail lights, horn and blinkers. Other than that i can't say they've checked anything else.

What he said!

Unless you go to some big company auto care center to have it inspected, to tell you the truth I don't think they really care what kind of kit you have, or if it passes smog. I seriously doubt that they would know the difference between a Greddy kit or a kit you pieced together yourself, and hell if you slapped a turbo sticker on there or something they would probably think it was supposed to be that way (lol). Here's my advice to you, of course you don't have to take it, but heres what I would do. Sell the Greddy kit (you could make a good $1750 to $2000 from the sounds of what you've got) and piece together your own kit, which will be cheaper if you know what to buy, and you could quite possibly make alot more power. Then take the money you have left over, and get it tuned. Then you'll have a fast, pretty reliable, and cheaper (its still not necessarily going to be cheap, but probably less than what the Greddy kit costed) turbo integra.

Thats just what I would do. Do what you want. I hope whatever you do turns out good for you and your happy with it

aye, greddy sells their (mitsubishi realistically) turbos for so much, that they wont even show you the price on thei website cause its so ridiculous, cheap way to get an 18g is = get a used 14b off of dsmtrader for anywhere from 100-200$, send it to http://www.forcedperformance.net and have them turn it into a 18g for 500$

Yes, just do a homemade kit. I know you want the car to be a showcar and everything, so you probably shouldn't get your stuff from a junkyard (it won't be pretty), but if you just want to make power, check out your local junkyard. For an intercooler, you can use an SMIC from a saab or something similar (which are normally in highly good shape if the car hasn't been in a front-end collision), you could use a turbo from a DSM, you'll have to buy a manifold elsewhere or it won't fit (yes, you can rig other stuff to work, but I don't recommend it.) for charge pipes, you could use rubber hoses I guess because I don't know of anyone who makes charge pipes for a 1g Integra. Some stuff you will have to buy from somewhere else. (alot of people hate ssautochrome here for some reason, but I have yet to see anything wrong with what they sell) If you don't want to go out and hunt down the stuff yourself (or just don't want stuff from a junkyard), ssautochrome makes a kit (for B-series or D-series) that I believe comes with a T3/T4 turbo, wastegate, downpipe, manifold/adapter plate, BOV, and possibly an intercooler for $700 shipped. I don't think it came with charge pipes, but you could buy those somewhere else.

Whatever you decide to do, have fun with it

Well then I just wasted a post (kinda sucks when you only get 5). Well since you already bought it, just put it on and see how you like it. Kevin85193 said it best when he said you're probably not going to be happy in the end.

I don't see why you asked for opinions if you're just going to shoot everyone elses down. Good luck with your kit, but I'm afraid you'll wish you did your homework a little more on what your buying.

Since you created a post not to ask a question of anyone, but to simply tell people that you are doing something that is generally frowned upon and often discouraged, i really hope you aren't sitting at home reading the responses you are getting with any surprise.

More importantly than that though, it seems to me that you asked peoples opinions on a subject that you kinda already knew the concencious on.

BUT! if thats what you want.... then fine.

so without further adooooo i offer one more persons opinions

I think the Greddy kit was a bad purchase
I think you are a very confused man for being so worried about legality
I think having an auto trans with a turbo is retarded
I think a turbo charged engine is for performance
I think an automatic transmission is for 46 year old mothers
I think you're kinda weird for asking for opinions you KNEW you would recieve
I think in the long run you will be unsatisfied (though i really hope otherwise )
I think it is gay to buy a turbo for extra points at a show

You don't really care though right? isn't that the whole point? i mean you are captain rebel

I honestly don't see any problems with a greddy kit, aslong as your not looking to make tons of hp. From the sound of it, it seems like it will be all you need. Although i would spring for a hondata rather than the blue box/fmu, and take it to tony and get it tunned.

Although driving around town can be hell at times, I also believe you'll be happier with a 5 speed, much more freedom, plus more fun with the turbo.

I"d do the same. And when it give's out, it gives you a reason to swap it out for a 5 speed. But until then have fun with it.

Integra Greddy turbo kit - $3,249.00

Integra Greddy intercooler kit $1,069.00

Spending $4318 on a kit that will make you 200whp =

Priceless.

Could have pieced a custom kit together and then had money left over for you 5spd swap. The biggest regret I had was that I purchased a drag kit, instead of piecing my kit together myself. Oh well, congrats on the kit

don't listen to these tools, yes your car will be a LITTLE slower with the auto, and it will eventually give out on you...but other than that, there is nothing wrong with runing an automatic transmission...no boost loss between shifts, and plus... driving an auto is just so easy haha...

i like my 5speed, but i miss my auto when im drivin through philly

It will be A LOT slower with the auto, that's what he doesn't seem to understand. A normal 5-speed Integra will run even (or even beat) an automatic Integra with a turbo (on stock settings). On top end, the turbo will shine through, but by that time, the quarter mile (or whatever race it is), would have been over already.

But it's okay, we're all beating a dead horse now. He already got the kit. Just try to get it tuned nicely, so you can make the most of it.

You sound like you just cruise so I say leave it stock. You'll just have more things to deal with maintenance wise if you turbo it. If you don't plan on driving hard then save your money for something else.
