Its really simple ive done 2 of them so far. Now im doing b-series into crx's and eg's and starting a k20 into a 96 integra. Its fun just go thru it one step at a time.

No if the head is on it should be correct but check the oil line going to the head and go thru all the connections and make sure there right. check to see if they installed a knock senser in the block. if the car was a gsr already then the wiring is already ran where it needs to be just check that its hooked up right. double check the engine timing. and you should be good to go. it will run fine with no vtec if vtec doesnt engage then you trouble shoot from there. ls/vtecs make alot of power.

as far as i know you need to run a ls head gasket. i ordered the golden eagle ls/vtec kit off of ebay for mine came with gasket dowel pins, oil plug, tap, oil line and all fittings to hook up.

Re: 93 Integra Db2 Ls Vtec Help
from the thread i was reading it says "Either way, get the head of your choosing welded and machined by a machine shop. This involves welding the vtec oil galley closed and then decking the head to assure a flat surface. You must do this because the LS block does not have this galley as it was not originally intended as a VTEC engine. Welding and machining this oil galley closed will keep oil from sitting on the headgasket which could lead to a potential leak" ...

Re: 93 Integra Db2 Ls Vtec Help
when i did my ls/vtec swap i used a stock ls block and a stock b16 head. and i didnt need to weld anything. the only thing i had to do was was tap the block and head so that the oil could return to the head. to tap the block i used the spot where the knock sensor was and i used a t for that where i could also put my oil pressure on it along with the oil line. its not that hard to build a ls/vtec as your making it seem.

Re: 93 Integra Db2 Ls Vtec Help
ok good news .. i finnally got the set up damn near complete . . i got the greddy ls/vtec sandwitch adapter with all lines and fittings for 60 bucks . got the head tapped and plugged . used the golden eagle ls/vtec dowel pins with vtec headgasket. got the head back on and working on timing it now . now im worried about what power its going to have i used the compression calculator thing and it came back saying .9.766713392915814 : 1 .. what do you think of that being N/a and would the gsr b18c cams raise the compression any ?

Re: 93 Integra Db2 Ls Vtec Help
Sorry but no cams will not bump up your compression. You can use flat bottom valves, diffrent pistons, longer rods or a stroked crank. but 9.7-1 would be good for mild boost or nitrous. sounds like your making good progress keep it up maybe add some pics.
