Icon2 91 GS hazards, seatbelts & IACV question.

Hey there H-T I haven’t been on here for a while, I lurk here and there.
So… I have a DA teg. It’s a 91 GS Automatic ( yes I know ).

I’m having a couple of problems with this thing.

1. Hazard lights don’t work. I’ve changed out the fuses, and swapped switches to no avail, However my turn signals work flawlessly

2. Seatbelt warning buzzer won’t stop. They never worked before, I switched out the ECU and the auto belts started working (only the driver side works) for the time being I just disconnected the green plug from the passenger side kick panel so stop the beeping.

3. Getting a CEL for IACV. The rpm needle stays below the 0 at a red light. But It doesn’t shut off it drives fine. Every now and then when I turn it on, I get the smell of gas as if it has a small leak. I have switched out 2 IACVs and still same thing.

What are some possible solutions, or some good starting points?
Thanx in advanced for any help given.

If the signal lights work, then everything, [wiring] is good after the hazard switch, problem must be either the hazard switch or hazard lights power to the switch, it can't really be anything else.

Starting points... 1-pull the hazard switch and test the white/green lead for power, if no power, check the hazard fuse in engine bay fuse box, if good, check continuity between white/green lead at the hazard switch and the hazard lights fuse.

If on the other hand you have power at the white/green lead at the hazard switch, switch the hazards on and test the green/white lead for power, if there is power on the green/white, test for power on the green/red.

2- sounds like maybe a seat belt switch is bad, or ICU, [Integrated Control Unit] is bad, common on older Honda/Acura, or did you mean ICU and not ECU, [Engine Control Unit]?

3- check for vacuum line leaks, all I can think of right now, tach problems are either a problem with the tach itself or the ICM, because you say it runs fine, pull the cap/rotor/leak cover and check the blue lead connection to the ICM, make sure it, [and all the ICM connections] is tight.

Let me know what you find. 94

Thank you, I’ll check on the wiring after work today. I’ve checked all the fuses and they all get power. I never tested the wiring itself tho.

I switched out the ECU because it was faulty. It would keep my injectors open and would flood my motor. That ECU never gave me a CEL. I swapped in the current one and my seatbelts started to work, and it was throwing the code 14. (which the other ECU should’ve done because the idle problem has been there since I bought it)

I’ll take a look at my ICM, as well as pull the IACV and spray it down with carb cleaner.
