Yep, impact gun did the trick. I was surprised. I thought I had messed up the last few threads with the vise grip, but the nut came off and on pretty easily with the impact gun. Going to try to get my suspension done on Saturday. I also got the '94-'97 bumper on already, and my HIDs finally arrived today, so hopefully I'll be closer to where I want to be come Saturday. Pics coming soon.

I don't know why everyone always said to get HIDs from DDMtuning. I definitely won't be ordering from them again.
When I first ordered them, they seemed like a legit shop out of Cali so I figured they might be actually decent HIDs. Then I started tracking the package and saw they were coming straight out of China, which made me nervous. After about 3 weeks or patiently waiting, they finally get here. Well, everything went together pretty good except the plug to connect the ballast to the factory harness. Spacing on the metal tabs was way off and they were too short. I messed with them a bit and pulled them up and apart to make them work for now. I had to use zipties to hold the two plugs together, since they didn't have the latch like the other ones. But I might get a different set soon and just sell these on craigslist. Good news is the were the right color (6000k) and no flickering or any other issues. We'll see hold they hold up for now. I'll definitely be keeping my 9005 bulbs in the trunk just in case.

What kit did you exactly purchase?

Just a basic 9006 6000k 35w Slim Ballast kit. I think slim ballast is all the offer now. Yeah, that would be convenient. Theres a shop in Miami that sells really good kits and has warranties on them. I think I'll just pick one up when I head down there next month. I also read that DDMtuning is hard to get in contact with for warranty claims, so that plus having to wait another 3 weeks if something breaks makes it not worth it for me.

Yeah, I get you and I really appreciate the offer. Only thing that makes me uncomfortable is the ballast to OEM harness plugs. It feels like they are barely connected and if you mess with the cables a little bit, they can lose connection. Haven't had them go out from bouncing on the street yet, but just makes me uncomfortable seeing that setup.

Re: 305_DB7ish's '98 LS Build
Finally have my 6000k HIDs on. Also yesterday I put install Teins on the front only, with factory shocks. I know its highly unadvised, but I do have spare shocks incase anything happens, and I will be getting KYB AGXs soon. I decided not to do the back yesterday until I get the shocks. I really like the stance I have right now (maybe there was some natural rear sag already?). And it rides great, just like factory.
Before and after wheel gap comparison (pics taken in the same exact location):
Also, a comparison of Teins vs. OEM front springs:

Thanks, speedbumps are taking some getting used to. I used to drive fly over them in 2nd. lol. Last time I had a car this low was about 5 years ago, with a Trans Am that had longtube headers that would scrape or bang on the massive speedbumps in my neighborhood.

Other option is to run a HID harness to power the ballasts.

Thanks man, appreciate it. Might do the pigtail later on. Seems like it would be less of a hassle and still useful if I switch back to OEM bulbs.
