*95teg* Car Shakes at 50mph to 70mph (plz help)
Make: acura
Model: integra
year: 1995
i've been having a problem with my car lately. everytime i drive to enter the interstate round 55mph all the way to 70mph the car shake to where you feel like your riding on a bumpy road. when you release the gas runs fine or on curise control, but then again if i set my cruise control on 70 and i hit the resume buttin it will shake untill i get to 70 just as if i was to drive normal. just when you give gas it shakes.. could this be a problem in the transmission...? i thought it was the axle so i replaced it. just to add a little more when you sit on the passanger side thats where you tend to feel the vibration more. so i figured it would be the trany or something around that area.
i checked around my suspension seems fine to me. this started to happen after one of my friend drove my car and went up a curb and went down got stuck and reversed off it... so i dont know what the problem can be..
any feed back let me know

I had the same problem a while back with my gsr. The inner axle joint on the passenger side went bad after the boot split and I didn't see it until the vibrations started. You should probably check that out if nothing else solves it. Hope that helps.

What if your car doesn't get 40mpg? LOL! J/K! I know what you meant...and he's right. Up to 45mph is normally balance. Anything over that, and its normally the alignment...or excessive roadforce on the tire. If you can find a shop that has a roadforce balancer, ask them if they really know how to use it, and get your tires roadforce balanced. If you have a bad tire, they will let you know. I'm thinking the alignment is off from hitting the curb or something. Do your tires have any feathering at all on the inner/outer edges? Is the tread depth a lot different between the inner edge and outer edge of the tread? If so, the alignment is out for sure. Alignment is a huge key to the puzzle. You should get it done about once every other oil change to make sure you get the most life out of your tires. I used to get mine done at every oil change, but I don't work at a shop anymore, so now I gotta pay someone who I know is inferior in skill at alignments, and I just don't trust anyone.

but i replaced both of the axles.... and it still shakes you think i bent my suspension..? other then that i can only think that its the tranny of motor mount now i think its the suspension
note:
i already bought new tires
tires are balances
and rotated
i got a alignment when tires were bought
axles are replaced
still shakes when i took it out of the shop i should have just blamed it on them that would have been evil

Re: (kidquiescent)
Did you buy the tires before or after you had the alignment set? Alignment is extremely sensitive. I used to set mine myself all the time, and every time, it would be slightly off. It is normal for an alignment to be slightly off after about 6k miles or so. So if your buddy hit a curb, I think that's definitely what it is.

Check your upper control arms and have your rotors inspected. If they are uneven they may cause vibration from moving that quick, which is why you may not feel any vibration at low speeds.

same problem but if you replace them wit AUTOZONE cv axles goodluck. i have brand new rims from dragwheels DR26 and brand new falken azenis tires at all four corners so i know it can't be my rims or tires and i swapped out the hub assembly with my parts car witch is also a DA so not the HUB, TIRES, RIMS i am open to any other suggestions. i think it is my axle cause i bought it from AUTOZONE i am probably going to buy them both from the acura dealer.

i had the same problem.
it turns out one of my wheels were out of balanced and i needed an alignment.
if it still shakes, then you might want to check the rubber on our outer tie rods.
I have a 94 and I need to start replacing all the rubber parts on the car. I just havent got around to it yet.

Re: (TemjinX2)
same problem, new axles, thought problem was rotors so i replaced em and the front brake pads and it was golden for like 2 days and now its vibrating on acceleration only sometimes at those speeds and when it does vibrate and i hit the brakes the steering wheel shakes like a bitch and i feel like im gonna lose control, do i have to replace the rotors again? how could my rotors warp that quick? or is it something else?

I've driven on some pretty horrible mounts, and not had any vibration issues...just some bad engine rocking during takeoff and gear changes.
