i have just replaced my stem seals and they are loose on the guides. i have tried to press them on and gently hammer and nothing works. they look just like the seals seen in the write up and i was just wondering if there was different sizes of guides? i know this post is old but this is the best place it seems to ask this question.

Are you 100% sure you bought the right valve stem seals?

Default Double checking

Hey everyone, just wanted to see if these were put on correctly as I did not get a click when i pushed them down, they had resistance when pushing them on but other than that no click. They all have this little gap as seen in the mirror, just wondering if this is normal for supertech seals. I compared with the stock ones and there is no height difference.

Thanks

^^^ Mine had a gap, but how much I wouldn't be able to tell you. Just make sure that you have them fully seated (if they can't go on anymore).

Hey, are the B18C1 valve seals same as a B18B1? or are there diffrent sizes? I bought supertech valve seals for my LS and it said its for B18B and B18C1 motors. But when I take it to the shop, I was told I needed Bigger seals. So I orderd it from ERISTIK gaskets and now one of my exhuast valves are leaking.

one little side note that i found when installing seals on a b18c5 head, a 10mm socket works/fits MUCH better than a 12mm. Also I found a valve spring compressor on e-bay made specifically for b18, b16, and h22 heads and works awesome!

overall this is a very informative write up
