Is it possible for a eg B16 to fit into a 90-93 accord chassis...i would never even think of doing this swap...but I am selling my complete B16 setup and some guy in my area wants to pay me a ridiculous amount of money for it and to help him drop it in...I have never heard of this swap before and was just wonderin if it was even possible...mount kit, wiring etc etc etc.... any info would help

I think this is a legit question. I would say that anything is possible but WHY? Dropping a torqueless wonder like a B16 into an accord would not make the car faster, probably the opposite. The F22 is pretty torquey(for a honda). Have fun and don't plan on getting it done over the weekend, or even this month.

btw 3rd gens are from 86-89. so in response to the topic... NO. youre going to have to go with a different F or an H.

Simply put this swap would cost a ton of money to do, and the car would be slower than with the f22. Accords are heavy...they don't need torqueless engines.

I thought I posted enough lately for everyone to read my sig. No, as stated before the torque really isn't there for such a big car.

Ohh you can sell it to him no doubt. It's just going to cost him a bloody fortune to put it in, and it'll be slower than his f22. If he is willing to buy it, I say sell it.

Why would somebody swap such a beautiful engine into a shyt box of a car? Selling him that engine is not a noble thing to do, especially since you know it wont work in that car.

Engine that does not produce lots of torque in a heavy car is a recipe for disaster.

I don't want to beat a dead horse but, no. Don't do it. With the 111 lbft of torque that B16 is pushing it is not going to be a fun car to drive. Try pulling a heavy trailer with a Civic DX and you'll see what I mean. Plus you're going to have to fab up mounts and axles and crap...

Now if he's willing to just buy outright, no guarantees, no money back, and you don't have to install it. Sell it to him and let him make his own uninformed mistakes. Then he'll get frustrated and sell the B to someone like me extra cheap

Obviously you have never owned a 4th gen Accord. I can't think of many other cars I'd rather have. As for the B16 being a beautiful engine....I don't know how those perform in a Civic. I do know that the F22 is extremely reliable and powerful enough to make a 4th gen Accord fun to drive.

BTW, if you have nothing better to do than come to an Accord forum and say Accords are crap, perhaps you should stay clear of Honda-Tech. Find a hobby, or go around harassing little kids in your home town.
