Hello everyone, we are trying to plan a Meet in Maryland in January, Here are a couple questions for you guys interested.

1. What weekend is best for you?
1st week in january (January 5th)
or
2nd week in Jan ( January 12th)

2. How many people will come with you?

3. If hotels were available, how many nights would you stay down here?

All interested please answer all the questions.

 

i could be there either weekend...i would 2 or 3 people with me and i dont need a hotel room.....where would the meet be? keep me informed

 

I think I can make either weekend as well.... and I'll probably shack up w/ phatty or whatever (as long as he keeps his pants on)....

 

where in maryland?...near dc?

 

If we keep it in the DC/Beltway area, then a lot of the VA guys will be willing to make the trip.

It would be nice to have it in an area with a multi-level parking garage, that way if it snows/rains, we can get under cover. The Laurel one was cool for a small meet, but I think somewhere else would be better.

Columbia Mall is one option, but it is a little further up from DC. It does have a good parking garage that doesn't get used much on the weekends, and is not too hard to get to.

Laurel might be an option again, or maybe Rockville at Whiteflint near D&B's.

I think making it on a Sunday will give everyoine a chance to be out of work/etc. But Saturday might be good too. Let us know when people are avaialble and which works better for them.

 

Ok Ladies listen up!

The hotel im looking at is in gathersburg maryland, it is pretty much even considered rockville. The hotel is right next to RIO entertainment center. Exit 9 off 270 i believe, the meet will most likely be held at wheaton regional park, unless we can find a warmer location, we can try and barbeque out there too maybe a fire can keep us warm, we will basically just hang out for alittle while since im sure its going to be pretty cold. Afterwards we can head to Dave and Busters to hang out and probably get a little inebriated so bring your designated drivers. then we can all fall out to the hotel and hang out there, the place has an indoor pool. I have checked the availability and the best weekend will be the first in january so with that being said, the meet will be january the 5th. Can someone Create a sign up sheet for the meet? just so we can have an idea of what the turn out will be? For those driving down and are serious IM me i will tell you who else is coming and see if we can arrange you guys so everyones taken care of. Im thinking you guys can come down friday stay friday night and then meet next day, or you all can come down early saturday meet then check into the hotels saturday night, its is of your preference. Let me know what you prefer.

how close is 270 from 95?

 

270 goes North from Capitol Beltway (495/95) to Rt. 70.
So basicaly, YOU would head up 95 from GA and do half the beltway (from the bottom to the top), and get off onto 270.

P.S. one side (in VA, western half) of the beltway is labeled 495, ... whereas 95 is the part of the beltway in MD on the eastern/southeastern part of the beltway. HTH /ed

TypeR0207 commented to me about a D&B meet he went to and it sounds like an awesome idea, if it gets too cold for us out there we can simply head to D&B and hang out there.

OK Rio and phatwhippin im designating both of you guys as the 2 room keepers, so decide whos gona bunk up with you guys, we will make reservations next week, up to 5 to a room, 6 if you dont mind, the rooms have 2 beds and 1 sofa bed. Full amenities too. Once we get those 2 rooms situated, we may get more.

As a matter of fact rio youll be right next to the rio center, man thatll make for an interesting pic.

 

why dont we do it at springfield mall in the macy's garage...always lots of parking there and very easy to get to....lots of hotels right there too...plenty of reasturants....just an idea.............

if its too cold the meet will be moved to dave and busters so its best if we stay close to that area.

PS. the guys making the reservations will pay for the rooms but whoever stays in them can all split the cost of the room if you guys got like 4 people thats only like 10 bucks per person! you know what that means! more money for booze!
