DO NOT BUY DC SPORTS
Here's a copy of the letter I wrote to DC...Their S.S. exhaust is very unreliable, for more information please read the following letter. I don't own any other DC products and do not intend to. I can only comment on their SS exhaust, which sucks ***. Thank you.
Dear AEM/DCSPORTS,
I am writing this email to inform you that I will never, as long as I live, purchase another product, read another advertisement, or recommend anyone that I know to affiliate themselves with your company.
Just about two years ago I purchased a stainless steel cat back exhaust system for my 1998 Acura Integra GSR. At first I was very pleased. The sound and performance was great and I was sure at the time that I had made a tremendous purchase. However, I now know that I was very, very wrong.
My first problem occurred when the weld around the b-pipe broke causing the pipe to split into two parts while I was doing 55mph on the highway. Luckily, I was only a few miles from home and was able to make it into my driveway. I promptly called DC Sports, spoke to a very friendly customer service rep. named Charlie and had my new b-pipe within a week or two.
Again I was happy and satisfied with my new pipe and car back on the road. Unfortunately, my happiness was short-lived. Much to my dismay about 6-8 months later I heard the ominous sound of an exhaust leak again. This time the leak was from the pipe itself and not around a weld.
As I had done before I called DC (this time DC/AEM) and spoke with the current customer service rep whose name I cannot correctly pronounce or spell (Kee, or Kai or something). He was nice, but I got the distinct feeling that he felt the problem I was having was my fault. This time I did not enjoy the same amount of understanding and help as I had received from Charlie.
Upon completion of my phone call I was faced with mailing out my broken b-pipe and having my only mode of transportation laid up for 3 weeks. Eventually, I received my repaired pipe, reinstalled it and was back on the road. Until, that is, the pipe sprung a leak again! This time the leak was in the EXACT spot the original leak was in on my original pipe.
I found myself amazed that my new pipe had broken for a second time. Even more amazing was that the SAME EXACT WELD that broke about a year earlier on the original b-pipe broke on my replacement b-pipe. Sure some fancy pieces of steel were welded on as "support," but obviously this did nothing.
Presently, I find myself with a broken $500+ exhaust from a company that I feel I can no longer trust or support. I apologize for my less than nice voicemail that I left your customer service representative, but I do not apologize for severely disliking your company. I fully intend to inform anyone who will listen of the problems I have had with your product, from Internet message boards, to people I meet on the street. Congratulations for losing at minimum one customer.
Sincerely,
A.C.S.
See my signature down there...Make that THREE TIMES! (Yes, I installed it correctly...I even had someone there to help that "knew what they were doing." As if unbolting and bolting is actually hard to do. heh)

Never really trusted that company. I went with Comptech for my header and Apexi for my cat-back. Love em both.
Nice letter. I have heard about this before as well with the welds on the pipe/muffler. Lets see if they respond to that letter.

Have they responded to your letter at all? It sucks when companys dont stand behind stuff they have sold. I bought a $3500 POS car from JE import performance, that he told me was in good shape (and I worked for the guy) so now I am in the same boat as you. Trying to let as many people as will listen know about his dishonest business practices.

lI have never really trusted DC Sports, and I really don't like AEM anymore. Both those brands are shady now, sorry about your issues, hopefully you get things straightened out.
i have a DC exhaust on my CRX. it recently got the FATTEST exhaust leak out of nowhere right smack in the resonator section (its not even rainy and my car isn't low either). so now it sounds like a damn golf cart or some ****. i'm through with them as well.
Many of you have asked if they responeded. Well, they did...The customer service rep responded by making up some lie that he tried to contact me but was unable to do so. That's complete B.S. b/c I left all of my contact info and I have caller ID on every phone. No missed calls, no calls from California.
I wound up getting the weld fixed for 27 beans without having to even deal with their half a$$ company.
According to the guy who emailed me back he said they would try to rectify the situation, but wanted more pictures sent...blah blah blah...Point is, for that money none of us should have to put up with this crap.
Screw DC Sports...but I'm over it...I just won't waste my money there longer.

AEM merged with DC Sports, so hopefully their products will be better. I don't know about their exhausts, but I know that they're redoing their whole Stainless Steel flanges.
damn, good to know.
Funny thing, I've had an Airmass header on my teg for almost two years, and it still hasn't cracked.
And to think some people told me once to get a DC

It happened to my Comptech exhaust as well. The b-pipe at the resonator cracked twice but Comptech replaced it for free both times. The last one was a revised version that had welded supports in the area that cracked.
Although it happened I am still confident in their product because, one, customer service was excellent (even though I bought the exhaust used) and two, I didn't have to send the cracked b-pipe to them, they sent me a brand new one each time!
I've heard adverse comments on their headers as well...
