Few nhra tech questions to run 10's

I'm looking into what I have to do to lagally run 10's beyond what I already have (I'm currently NHRA legal for 11's). It looks to me that, as long as I don't trap above 135 (which will probably happen soon), all I'll need (in addition to what I currently have) would be an SFI approved harmonic dampener.
I know that honda crank pullies have a harmonic dampener stock... but will that qualify as SFI approved? If not, I'm looking at endyn's fluidampener... is that SFI approved? If not, can anyone recommend some sfi approved harmonic dampeners?
Next, what happens if you end up running faster than what you're teched for? I know they'll kick you out, but do they have some sort of "black-list" that you'll be put on or something like that?
Next, does anyone care to tackle the list of what I'll need (in addition to what I've already got for being 11's legal) to run 10's and trap over 135?
Thanks all

also when you trap past 135mph you will need a window saftey net as well.
There is no black list or anything like that. But next time you go back to the same track you will have to pass befoer they will let you run if they remember you. it all depends on the track officals.

I should also note that I currently only have a roll-bar. The rules say that I can run with a roll bar as long as I'm not faster than 9.99 and I don't trap over 135, if I understand them correctly.

Ok, the sfi approved dampner is in the rule book, but how often do they enforce it? just wonderin, cause before this summer I had never seen a 10 sec honda w/ an aftermarket dampner.

the evolution pulley is liek an underdrive pulley, but it is just SFI approved. Not a dampener. Brian

Running without one is it's own punishment - Just think about what parts of your body are in the same plane as that damper. If it goes "boom", it's not just gonna shred sheetmetal like it would in a RWD car.

never thought of that. I am running one on the motor im building, but i thought id ask the question just because I think most cars have gotten away w/ out in the past.

Jer- the evolution is NOT a dampener-- which is starting to concern me about mine, but it's worked okay for Sam so far.
Here's a picture, if you want to see it closer, I can take a closer picture.

Here's the additions to 10.99:
sfi approved crank pulley (sfi flywheel was at 11.99)
window net
5 point cage

Other than the car you will need some personal safety gear too. Pretty sure a flame retardent pant (in addition to the jacket you should already have) and a neck brace i believe too. Might not be to sure, but look into persoanl safety as well. Ive had techs break my ***** about my helmet not being approved but didnt look at how my cage was installed or if it was ever nhra approved.....
Best thing to do is download the nhra sport compact rule book found on their website.

When I got my tech inspector cert back in '01, the NHRA had some plastic cards printed up that had a quick reference chart on one side and a list of ET and MPH safety break-points on the back. I use it all the time - I wish they'd update it, put it on the website, and print some more to hand out to racers at events...
Jim, are you watching this thread? Maybe there's a sponsorship opportunity for OverRev here...

Yeah, I'm planning on going over 135... but I definitely won't be ready to tech for that this year. I know I'll need to convert my rollbar into a rollcage and get a window net. Also, I'm pretty sure the neck brace is required.

Don't forget a jacket that meets SFI, required for 11.99 and quicker.
