I'll be out there helping Acutech Racing on Saturday for the USTCC race then I'll be driving my CRX in group 2 on Sunday.
Looks like I will be there. Who else in honda Challenge coming? More importantly, who in H1? I know Tom Lepper is coming. How about Jonathan, Brent, Clyde, and Patrick Sharp?
Is USTCC running the same group? If they do, will we be That means standing start, no? gridded and the same green flag?

Yes USTCC is in same run group, and last I heard from Ali was that we would have a split start for USTCC and he is also trying to make it a standing start. But I dont think that it will be standing for other classes. This will only apply on Sun. because thats the only race that offically counts for us.
I cant wait to check it out! This is my first time at Infineon, so Ive been watching all the in-car footage I can find. And it looks like we will actualy have a good size grid for USTCC, about 14 cars last time I counted.
Andrie, are you driving at Infineon? And if so which car? I noticed your light blue EG at buttonwillow last time we were there, we were impressed that you drove it to and from the track
nice car. Or is your new ready?

I will be there with bells on. Our H4 del sol has it's new engine (WITH vtec hopefully). My dad will be taking up the reins of the Acura since Brian is taking his talents to USTCC in the DMS Subaru WRX.

you can sign up for a membership online a the same time you sign up for the event. It is like 30 bucks, and you get a free subscription to Grassroots Motorsports. It should say online if the event is full.
Even if you don't sign up, non-members can still pay $10 at the gate and spectate. Don't forget the drifting on Turn 7. There is no other sport compact competition like Hyperfest, so come out and see it.

well there should be AT LEAST 10-15 hondas racing, id say more like 35. then there are about 20 other groups that race out there also. all with about 10 car feilds. then there are the HPDE groups, ech group has 20 car i think, 20 times 4 = 80 cars, at least. then all the drift guys that are out there too. plus there will be a bunch of people, with parts that are meant for racing just setting and looking cool (aka show caars). the last event i went to at thunder hill was PACKED. and so was the previous event at infenion.
so yes there will be at least 100 cars out there.

Unfortunately, plans to have some NW drivers make the trip down fell through. I was looking forward to driving a new track. However, I will still be there, but in a crew capacity.
Justin,
You've probably already heard from Raymond that I'll be coming down to crew for you guys. Will you have three or four cars? Looks like we're hitting the road Thursday afternoon, so maybe we can caravan down together? Shoot me a PM for my phone #.

Hyperfest will be held in conjunction with NASA-Norcal's HPDEs and Road Racing Event on September 11 at Infineon. This is also a US Drift Nationals Competition. Go to the website listed below for info on hyperfest...lots of activities going on. And for those who can't get in the HPDE due to the wait list, you can always do a hyperdrive for $40. Hyperdrives are basically one HPDE session with a classroom session and instructor provided. Shotgun rides are $10 per session, and you get to ride with an Instructor at speed in their car. You can preregister at the hyperfest website for hyperdrives or register on-site if space is still available. Just go to the Information Booth once you arrive.
