Used 2 qts of oil in 2000 miles
EEK! All I can say is Good Luck! I had a similar problem when I first got mine and ended up rebuilding the motor more than once before I finally replaced it.

the f20c does use a lot of oil. if you read your owner's manual, it says check the oil level every time you fill up with gas. high rpm motors will use oil.
pull your spark plugs and look down the hole, if there is no oil down there, and it's not leaving puddles, and there are no signs of it seeping out under the hood, you should be ok.
always buy extra oil and keep a strict eye on the level. let us know how it goes.

If no obvious signs of leakage I wouldn't worry too much. That seems minimal. Mine used oil regularly right up to about 15,000Kms gradually subsiding after that. S2000s that don't use some oil seem to be the exception rather than the rule. Just keep checking it.
Thanks for the input. I took it to the Dealer today of course no warranty and they have another one in there with the same problem. I let them change the oil and the service manager told me to bring it back in 1000 miles so they could check it "themselves" (Purchased after market warranty through them today
cause I dont know enough to rebuild this motor)
ATTN They have an s2000 with AEM V2 intake there blown up due to water induction (no BYPASS). Spend your freaking 40 bucks. I know I did today. This dude is out allot of cash cause of it.
Maybe if enough people get this issue addresed they will do somthing about it.
I will keep you guys posted on what happens.

don't remove your cat, don't remove your exhaust, not sure what one would find or see in the exhaust.
Get a compression test and leak down test performed to inspect the engine's "health." That should either open options for repair or only elimate other things to check.

im no expert with the s2k engins but 2 quarts seem to be alot of oil to loose in 2k miles. was this the original oil that was in the car when you got it? you said it was your first 2k miles on the car. Maybe you just got the car low on oil when you first got it. If you are definitly loosing that much oil somthing is wrong....could be alot of differnt things. Cheap oil? Thin oil? drive the car hard? Keep this updated...i would like to know what the shop finds out.
To quote a bulletin we got from Honda (Canada)...
"Effect of driving conditions on oil consumption: Due to the high-performance nature of the 2000-2003 S2000, its engine can consume as much as a liter of oil in 1,600km when driven at high RPM.
Oil consumption can increase under such driving conditions as high speed, high engine RPM, frequent acceleration or frequent deceleration using engine braking."
1604km=1000 miles and 1 liter is about 1 quart.
Hope this helps...

Wow, so they're saying it's normal to burn a quart per 1k if you "VTEC alot." That makes me feel a little better about my motor.
This isn't just a shameless plug, but you'll want to use an oil with a high shear stability.
I'm not a sponsor - no flames please.
AMSOIL has the highest shear stability rating of any oil, and takes first place in every unbiased test of motor oil when compared to every other synthetic out there.
http://www.amsoil.com - find a dealer, use the best.
I live in Minnesota, and I left a bottle of the stuff outside on a -40 F night - opened it up the next morning, and it POURED. Try that with your Mobil One - or, if you want a really good laugh, try it with Quaker State or Pennzoil.

sounds about right. i wind up adding 1 qt between oil changes. sometimes another half. i daily drive my S but hit VTEC multiple times a day. just can't help it

I also us Amsoil, and I have to agree with you on all your comments about it. I use a quart about every 2-3k miles if I drive the car kinda hard.
