Default 91 CRX HF, b18c5 USDM complete changeover, ODBII to ODBI/Hondata

I am looking at putting B18c5 in my as-yet unmodified 91 HF. A complete changeover from someone like hmotorsonline seems like a good way to go. I can purchase just about everything I need from one place. But the USDM (would prefer to stay USDM) changeover is ODB II. I want to run Hondata for tuning and I also have heard that ODB I is much easier to deal with.

If this is the right way to go, what do I do go from ODB II to I with a complete changeover?

Am I on the right track here? Car will be a street only daily driver and I want to retain ac and be smog legal in GA.

Thanks for any response and suggestions.

Make it easy on yourself and go OBD-I. OBD-II has been done a few times on here, but it's not easy unless you're a wiring guru.

Yes. I want to go ODBI. Buy a 'complete changeover' because that seems the best way to get everything (except the ECU and perhaps the dizzy?) and convert to ODBI (which cpu and do I have to buy a different dizzy) so I can run Hondata.

What wirings/sensors or other things do I need to do to take this setup and convert it to ODBI and run it in a 91 CRX HF? Sensors? Which ECU? Dizzzy conversion harness? Searched on this one and there is no good source of info other than you don't want to run obdII which I agreee with. After I've done the conversion, I want to take it and have it dyno-tuned by a pro somewhere.

I'm doing at b18c5 into my 89 hf. I don't have an answer for you about the obd conversion but I saw that you're looking at getting your engine from hmotorsonline. I got my last engine from them and they suck. Their customer service sucks. When I got my engine the head was warped and it had about 3 quarts of orange chunky gunk come out of the coolant drain. The engine was supposed to completely drained already. Sure it started up but sense the head was warped it was only running on half compression and caused a head gasket to blow. I wouldn't buy from them ever again. I'd try to call them about it and they barely ever answer their phones, and when they do they threaten to charge money for talking to them. What is that?!?!? Get it from http://www.passwordjdm.com. They won't screw you over and they have better prices.

Also, I noticed that you want to try and stay USDM. If that's for emissions reasons don't worry about it. My engine is jdm and as long as you got a good exhaust system and engine runs well, you'll pass just fine.
