ITR 98-1010 back from tuning...
Well, my brother Greg and I just got back from an all-day tuning session with his ITR. His setup included:
SMSP header & cat.
2.5" exhaust
Toda Spec A's
ST Corsa cam sprockets
Mugen head gasket
AEM CAI
Prelude 290 injectors
B&M FPR
PS removed
Uberdata
Final peak numbers were approximately 190 whp & 130 lb.ft. of torque, and the curve is very nice.
The tuning was done by Jeff Evans a.k.a "boosted hybrid" (www.Boosted-Hybrid.com), who I must say did an excellent job. He was very helpful and a great person to work with.
Dave at SMSP and Warren also deserve thanks, since they made it possible for Greg to have his header (which is a beautiful piece) in time for tuning before he has to return to college in a few days.
Incidentally, I was quite impressed with the Uberdata system. It did what it needed to, and was relatively inexpensive to set up. I would certainly recommend it as an alternative to the common piggy-back controllers, and even some of the more expensive systems.
I'm sure my brother will post here with some additional details that I've left out (he has numerous photographs and graphs), but I just thought I'd give my initial impression of today's session.

What dyno was used? Regardless, seems like its a good setup. Uberdata is very easy to work with once you get the feel for it. With a WBO2 sensor and the new version of Uberdata w/datalogging, you can really get a good road tune.

I don't have much to add really. I was impressed with how much time Jeff took to make sure it ran as well as it could and for putting up with my VTEC point nit-picking Here are a few pics and a video of the last run. Excuse the quality, it's from my digital camera. BTW it was a Dynapack.

VTEC is set at 4700. We moved it down even lower, but it didn't help to smooth-out the AEM "hump" centered around 4500. This turned out to be the best compromise in terms of a smooth curve.
And yes - that's an alarm siren. This isn't D's car...
Oh, and if anyone's wondering, that's a junk cut valve cover that we use for tuning purposes. Neither of us wanted to hack up an OEM one, so this one is very convenient to have. I'm still not entirely sure why the spark plug wire cover got installed along with it this time, but that's another story.

Hmmm. I kinda like that bare aluminum valve cover. All business, no bling.

That look is the skittles! I am loving under the hood. Def more power to be made IMO.

Guarantee that valve cover is teh hot after about 30 seconds of running. Nice #'s!
<--Opie, who's best bud has a stripped valve cover that burned an H into his palm like Joe Pesci in "Home Alone"

Nice torque across a wide range. Looks like it would be very pleasant to drive.
My torque curve seems similar, and it's a real pleasure on the track.
Dynojet figures, though, not Dynapak.

Every day while I am at school, not as often during the summer. Although I still manage to only have ~58,000 on it.

I'm curious if there's anything specific that makes you think that? I ask because Jeff spent quite a considerable amount of time tuning the setup, and I'm relatively confident that there is very little left to be gained with these components. The shape of the curve could be altered a bit via the cam timing (the final settings provided the best compromise), but any further changes that Jeff made to either the ignition or fuel tables yielded no additional power.

He does drive it quite a bit (since it's his only car), but the mileage isn't too bad. Even with a few trips between NJ and FL, I think it's only around 60,000 or so. Unfortunately though, that Florida sun and salt air has taken its toll on the finish.

Actually, the graph's a bit deceiving in that respect. The rev limit is currently set at 8900 (the DynaPack was set to end the run at 8500 where you see it on the graph). However, Jeff made a pull all the way to 8900, and the power actually peaks right around 8500 or so.
