A CEL light, think I blew another Carsound...
CEL light just popped on. I'm about 12000 miles into my second Carsound cat... thinking I just blew that one. Had a "rattle" from the exhaust that I thought was a heatshield too close to the b-pipe. Alas! Me thinks the sound has been diagnosed. The only telltale sign is that the exhaust smells a "little-more-poopyish" tonight.
From the failure rates that I've been witness to, I think it's time to gut it out for now and upgrade (downgrade) to a testpipe soon...
carsound is absolute garbage. I feel this is the case wth all aftermarket cat converters. I had a carsound die only after a few thousand miles. The AF was fairly lean and the cat still ate **** and died. I have also used a random and a catco...crap and more crap. An absolute waste of a $100+.
I had a Dynomax from Jeg's on my car for 15k miles or so. Worked fine, no CEL, no rattles.

(Dynomax Super Converter 2-way 2.5" in/out pn 289-15146 from http://www.jegs.com)
Of course, it was $49.95 back then. It's now $119 for whatever reason.
