Im thinking of doing it, but i am just seeing how it would look first, i have a reason to think that on a black car it wont look good. but who knows

You'll hardly notice that it is CF. A CF hood on any car looks good.

i know its hard to decide for me also, cause i want to get a CF hood or get my hood repainted (got keyed).

 

go to the thread yoshi made about willowsprings... theres pics of speedpak's car, and he has a black with cf hood

 

i think im going to stick with my stocker, i dont think i like the look, on any other color besides black it looks good

 

same here......Its hardly noticable on black.....

 

Who makes that hood? I used to have this cheap carbon fiber hood that I got for $350. The driver side wasn't flush it was 1/2 inch too high. Then the cheap clear coat was chipping away after a few months. And finally the weaving wasn't even in certain areas. Are fiber images hoods like this too?

i think it look's pretty damn good on black..cuz it blend's in a little better..but i would rather spend that much on the engine...but hey that's just me...do what you want to make yourself happy..just dont rice that thing out......

Where are the pins for these hood locks!?!

 

Blackacker: i haven't put the pins on yet. they were long, and were hitting something underneath the hole. I haven't had time to cut them. I'm sure i won't be doing it anytime soon either, because it's time (weather wise) to put the stock one on.

That's the only reason why we like the hoods...if it was anything else that disupted the look of an all-black car like that, we'd say "oh, doesnt look right". It looks like a dark primer to me on a black car. it really only looks good on a white R w/JDM front, although Im not a big fan of JDM fronts.
