Default Took the new daily driver to the track last night......not impressed!

specs:89' civic si
95' b18b 100k mi. (bone stock) on a pm6!
22x8's on Lenso's

Too much traction for the weak b18b, even @ 4700 it bogged!
LMK what you guys think.

i think you should rev it up higher when you take off....

try reving it at around 6000 to 7000 and let it go....
the bogging off the line really affected your time....
i'm pretty sure you'll get a low 14 timeslip if you get a good take off...

just one opinion though....

I know but, from the drivers seat it feel like a low 14/high 13 sec car. I wish i had 20' slicks . Too much tire= hardcore bog off the line

Yeah, I was thinking 6k next time. Broken axle or a bad *** 60'/ET (out of a stock b18b)

I think so too. Try launching at a higher RPM. 6-7k

Awesome 1/8 & 1/4 mile times for a stock ls Have you tried drag radials or smaller slicks 20x6 or 20x8? With a smaller tire only good things will come, Good luck!

try 20 inch slicks, you'll get better results if your using a ls tranny

in a ls teg with bolts on and 20 inch slicks, it ran 14.41

Is the car you are talking about yours? If so, update your sig!

Yeah, I am runnning the A1 tranny(gearing sucks). I also beleive that 20's would do the trick but, I bought the 22's cause I was thinking about the future (plus m&h doesn't make 20's for 13 in. wheels.)

Those are some pretty good times for a b18. I ran a 9.3 in the 1/8th with just i/h/e on nt555r's. I wish i could have gotten a good run when it was boosted...but my ringlands had other plans. Anyway good times dude

Thanks, I also had nt555r's at one point (about 2 years ago) they sucked! I got some BFG's(badass on the streets) and now if I am @ the track it is slicks only I got out of street racing but, the BFG's used to win me alot of races that I should have lost

No trying to be an *** but; Id laugh my *** off if i saw a stock b18b/ef on 22 slicks. How bout some dr's and just learn to drive. You could have put the slick $$$ into I/H/E amd been alot happier and faster.

he already had the slicks before he got the car. It has intake and exhaust and i was going to give my my gsr header but it didnt fit. You would still be slower slicks would still make a better time then you could ever do on drag radials or street tires.
