Default GSR B16 head differences

Ive done a search and im still pressed to find the big differences between the GSr head and B16 head, i know their intake manifolds are different but internally what is are the big differences between the GSR and B16 head, and which flows better and why, because i was reading through some threads and ive heared both that the b16 flows better then the GSR head and that the GSR head flows better then the B16 head.

ne info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Option.

The gsr cams arent as aggressive I beleive and the valve springs might be different. Dont quote me on it though.

the diffrence in flow is hardly noticable between the two. there is a picture floating around the board with the diffrences in flow rates between the two.

the GSR head has smaller combustion chambers which will give you more compression.

which ever head you decide on you will be happy with. there both great heads.

Yeah I'm pretty sure you're wrong on that one... I swapped out my PR3 cams for P72's and felt quite a bit of a difference especially up in the Vt3k y0!

you are correct B16 is least aggressive cam followed by GSR then ITR/CTR

The flow chart was on alaniz's website but it is currently being updated. BUT here is the link so when the site is up:

He would have said that because the GSR head will increase the compression ratio of the motor

Can you use an OBD 0 distributor with a GSR head, or do you have to use the OBD 1?

Something to think about. GSR heads are usually better but a well casted B16 head is pretty nice too.
