i cant see why you cant run the same size turbo on a sohc head. either way, you could try putting a dohc head on your d17, but it'll probably cost you 2 arms and a leg. there is no dohc head that will mate with your d17

wait you have an 04 civic and your gonna swap the motor out? x-/ why not just build on the motor you have, instead of buying a new car and spending another 3-4 k on a new engine? Kinda defeats the purpose of buying a new car...unless you bought it for the chassis...........

LOL you want to do a head swap to go DOHC...... You mean engine swap.....? I was under the impression that none of the previous swaps (D,B,H) would work int eh 7th gen. So you would have to get a K series.

You totally ******* wasted your money on your 2004 Civic if you're going to pull the motor already and pop in a K20. Should've bought a $1000 shell and drop the $6k for all the fabrication, motor, and parts needed for a K20 swap. If you wanted to be cool, saved all that money and do a K24/K20 Frankenstein. That would be even better. Poor 2004 Civic.

The only option is ordering a head from d-h racing...they are the only ones selling them for the d17's...then get some custom cams and pistons...As far as turbos Stafford Fabrication offers a kit that puts about 225 or so hp to the wheels @ about 8-10 psi that put the car into the high 13's....

yea if u dont wanna swap either purchase a turbo kit or build ur own like me. Oh and stay away from DH racing, they gave us guys from 7thgencivic.com a rough time a while back. Stafford Fabrications is a good company though.
