which one or ones of those do you need?

once you install the diff you will THEN measure the clearance and then see what thickness you need to buy.

I won't know which shim I need until I have the transmission disassembled. I cannot wait a week for for the specific shim that I need to arrive. I was hoping that someone had a set minus the one shim that they needed.

people do not buy the "set"
your understanding of the scenario is a bit off.

the other option is this... if you order a thick one, chances are a machine shop could grind it down to whatever thickness you need, well, if they do that stuff in your area.

I would wait til you get everything measured.

Each shim is about $5-6 from the dealer

The whole set is indeed expensive. I'm planning on buying the gamut and selling the ones that I don't need to the next guy who is going to install their own differential. I need to complete this task in a weekend.
