My old motor ran 14.1 in my 93 hacth. I had Aries pistons (11:1 cr), JG red line head with 85vt80 cam, JG larger TBI, i,h, and 14x8x20 M/T slicks. By the way the motor is a D16Z6, spining off the line and falling on it's face in 4th gear. So i feel it would be in the mid the high 13's other wise.

Did you ever think that whilke the motor is out you can lighten your flywheel? If i was in your case and had some extra $$$ i would deffinatly do it!!!!!!!!!!

I'm putting one together right now. Exospeed race head and cam, P29 pistons, Dual weber carbs. Hopefully it will be over 13:1 compression after a little milling and having the combustion chambers welded. We'll know in a month or so what she pulls on the dyno.

yea actually when i first built the thing and started it up it revved up so quick i was like man do i have a lightweight flywheel or what i didnt but the thing revs real nice also got to put all my friends with B swaps to shame they were like what you ran a 14.5 with that thing...btw the setup is good for low 14's now cause i was only cuttin 2.3 60 foots because i have a camber problem cause of bent spindle. So with a 2.0 60' its good for 13.9 go sohc.

I ran a 14.7 in my 1991 hatch with a D16z6. I rebuilt the motor with all stock internals for my Senior high school project. Didnt expect it to run that good, I sure got an "A" on that one.

Check out http://www.tuningspl.com for the full setup. its in "garage" and im joey f.

ive got a d16 runnin high 12's in an 88 crx si with z6 head, d15 pistons, milled head, and much machine work. i also did some tranny work, but didnt change gears. have a 6 puck sprung with heavier pressure plate. i welded a couple engine mounts, and suspension parts. have launch and traction control on my ecu, home-meade adj. fuel pressure regulator, fuel pressure meter. ecu was completely tuned on a computer.

yeah, im runnin 14:1 static compression on pump gas.

99 ex with intake, header, exhaust, and a port and polished head with titanium valves and springs and a comp cam. Not sure what it runs exactly, but my friend has a gsr that runs 14.6 and he ends up pulling at the end of second into third. im going with low 15's maybe better. We will see soon.
