Secondary O2 Sensor Wiring Diagram (Disable code 67 for bad cat.)
Alright, spent some time searching for the mod. that lets you fool the ECU in to thinking the secondary O2 is getting readings within spec (and so no check engine light). However, the diagram was not specifically for the Type-R. So I pulled out the Helms and fixed the diagram. I labeled the wires for the sensor and also the wires going back to the ECU. The wires going back to the ECU were important because I have a V-AFC wiring harness so I figured I would tap the wires for the secondary O2 there instead of cutting factory wires down by the actual sensor. Anyways, enough crap, here are the two diagrams (one for 97-98, and one for 00-01).

for real, good diagrams.

Does this work?
There are a bunch of other O2 similators that use integrated circuits (i.e. 555 timers and such).
Let us know if this really works.

Is there any way to put the pics in a proper JPEG format for saving for later reference. It saves to the hard disk in a funky format that isnt viewable even in photshop.

Did you copy it, then paste in notepad? It saves as a Rich Text Document.

Hold up on these diagrams guys, not sure if they are correct! I tried it this weekend and had problems...
I think there may be issues with wires or something. If someone else wants to try this go ahead, but I cannot guarentee it works.
Sorry guys, should have tried this before posting.
HOWEVER, the original method of putting this circuit in where the actually seconardy O2 is should work as other have done it; the only problem lies in the situation of putting this where the ECU is (I think I got wires wrong or something).
I shold be able to investigate and sort this out by next week; I will update the thread then.
Thanks all.

may have something to do w/the VAFC... you are wiring into the ECU right?

I am VERY interested in seeing an absolute solution to the CEL with no cat/ bad cat situation. Can someone post a pic of what the "device" looks like and what it looks like installed ?? I REALLY REALLY REALLY appreciate it !!
