In my efforts to get 3 novice races outta way this season I've been doing things rather backwards.

The first mistake was BUILDING my racecar instead of buying one or at least renting one.

I can see how it could be fun if I had the time and money, but now it's been exceptionally difficult trying to build a car to standards I will be happy with and also meeting the 3 races before the season ends.

I discovered something rather interesting.....the faster you want things done...the more money it costs..... [WhoOo what a concept.] Shipping companies are a good example of this.

So the car is getting caged tmr, a big chunk outta my a$$ is being removed.... and I still have no personal safety equipment. I literally need EVERYTHING from head to toe.

you and I are learning the exact same things and working under just about the same timeline.. already PM'd, I'm in on this deal.. I may look into tweaking a bit though, since that is an option..

Yup, we are pretty much screwed. I need 16s as well. I have not found anyplace that makes a race shoe over a size 13.

 

Damn.... you guys with big feet must be driving Honda Pilots.... how do you guys fit into your cars?

Barely...but we can do the elusive clutch/brake/gas combo with one foot....most of the time not on purpose!!!

I've looked on Sparco's site and can't seem to figure it out. Maybe I'm just stupid. Does Sparco have any 3 layer suits that are less than $750 (going by http://www.sparcousa.com prices)? I would really like a 3 layer suit.

I really like the Sparco 5 but that's not even 3 layer.

It would probably be best to contact AdamITR directly and discuss with him how much it would cost to upgrade your suit from the Fashion 5 to a current 3layer suit of your choice.

He's mentioned that he's willing to allow for an upgrade from the standard Racer's package, with the buyer having to pay an adjustment in the final price.
