Perfect for swapping into an EG chassis! Lay waste to B16a Hondas while running regular grade!
This is a nice clean swap located in Southern NJ. Engine is a JDM B20b. I have owned this swap for approx 2 years, before which it was owned by the user chidoks on this forum. The block was installed in my 1993 delSol, which had an unfortunate run in with a concrete barrier while traveling at approx 30-35mph. The front frame of the car was bent in, totaling it. Fortunately the engine was unharmed in this incident. (Crash Photos Here)
The motor ran great afterwards, and I actually drove it around the junkyard where the car was stored for a little bit just to make sure. It also drove right onto the car carrier that I rented to haul away the wreck with no trouble whatsoever.
This Swap is a stock JDM B20b with LS intake manifold / throttle body / distributor / alternator and sensors. It is an OBD1 Swap. The block is mated to a GSR transmission that has no grinds, but can sporadically be stubborn shifting into 4th gear and reverse. However, this is the exception and not the rule. I never considered it problematic enough to drop the tranny and crack it open to have a look.
There is also a Fidanza flywheel and Exedy Racing clutch installed, both with less than 12,000 miles on them. The axles were also replaced within the past year, and have less than 12,000 miles on them as well. The wiring harness that is included is a 1993 Civic DX harness with an extended wire for the O2 sensor (red in photo).
This also comes with both delSol VTEC shift linkages, front tranny mount and JDM ITR 4-1 header (less than 12,000 miles as well).
The Driver Side AC mount is the standard B20 mount, which will fit fine unless you are mounting on a civic and want to keep your AC. In this case you will need to find a delSol VTEC AC mount.
Compression was checked within the past 10 months, and all of the cylinders came up right around 190 except cylinder 1, which read 178. My mechanic told me to monitor it, but not to worry too much as it was still within spec. I have had no oil consumption with this motor.
The only thing that you will be missing for this swap is the upper tranny mount, which was damaged in the accident. (When the sub frame bent, it ripped the bushing). That aside, everything needed to swap into a EG chassis is included with this swap.
Absolutely will not ship. Must be picked up at its present location, which is in a storage unit in Mays Landing, NJ. I have a hydraulic lift present, which can assist in picking up the swap.
Asking: $2300 for the entire package - Will Not Part Out /// SOLD
Also comes with an extra driver side axle / intermediate shaft and alternator if desired.

no knock sensor, it's a JDM B20b, but it is running the USDM B20z 2 layer headgasket and was rebuilt on the bottom end with B20z pistons / rings by the previous owner. contact chidoks concerning that if you have any questions, as he did the work.
I believe it is a 97 or 98

The engine was originally a jdm b20b with the 8.8:1 CR pistons... I ordered the 9.6:1CR B20Z pistons brand new from honda... The motor was rebuilt with the b20z pistons and brand new gaskets, bearings and belts... The valves were also replaced at that point because of minor valve tap.. The entire motor was hot-tanked during the rebuild... If i had the money, I'd buy the swap back from Jason
Nah don't want to sell the linkages. The main linkage is still attached with the bitchpin.
Get your linkage here
Thats where I got mine from.
