Bone stock B16/DRAG kit 11's at Nopi!
Made the trip to St.Louis this weekend and finally got my stock B16 in the 11's in the 1st round of qualifying with a 11.84. Backed it up in first round of eliminations with a 11.88 (lost though
)
Setup:
Stock JDM B16 -never touched
Stock B16 Tranny
Stock Honda Cltuch
Stock Injectors
Stock P30 ECU
Bolt-on DRAG kit
Deltagate/FMU/Inline pump/Walbro 255 intank
10-11psi
Stock 160k mile struts w/GC coilovers
22x8 15" MT's on 15" Honda steelies
Back seat and pass seat removed at the track, other than that full interior and all panels, radio, console, ect.
Best part car was driven 200 miles to the track, 70 miles to a hotel that night, 70 back to the track and then 200 miles back home! This is my daily driver also
I still think it has more left in it if I went with 24's. Right now I have to shift into 5th which kills the mph and maybe a tenth or two. Plus the stock clutch slips if I shift it too fast so that will need to be upgraded soon. First I gotta get a cage

Running a FMU but still, yeah needs to be upgraded. Car still runs on the rich side and plugs looked good after 2 runs on Saturday.

great numbers, very simple and effective...
but think about this for a second...
static fuel pressure ~ 45 psi
11 psi at 12:1 = 132
thats 177 psi of fuel pressure.....
I wouldnt run that much. with all the management solutions out there, id grab one before something goes wrong.

oh man...that's pushing your car...but hell, it was only one weekend right?!?! LOL.
man...and all this time i'm building the **** out of my teg just to get into the 11's up here in MN!! it's people like you who make me want to just sell my setup/car, grab a jdm vtec motor, drop it into an EG, slap a DIY turbo kit on and run low 12's - 11's.

Haven't done any real dyno numbers yet. Yes the FMU is at it's limits right now unless I up the injectors and throw a smaller disk in there but I really want to run Hondata anyway
Good times Matt!!! About you comment on changing fmu discs..I remember when I was running an fmu setup, I tried switching form the 12:1 disc to the 6:1, and it did not make any difference in the a/f on the wideband...I also tried the 8:1, and the 4:1 with the same results....I came to the conclusion that those damn fmu's are either on or off....Just a little personal expierence I had with an fmu....

Yeah, i'm not gonna stay with it much longer. I'm sure with a Hondata and some good tuning it has much more power left in it. FMU has done me good so far so I can't complain
