Well, as everyone knows...I paid eric 3500 to do the following to my car:
5 lug conversion
Type-R steering rack
TEIN FLEX
S2000 wheels
HID install
Fix my wiring
and a few other misc. things


So far eric has managed to complete the following in 2 months:
5 lug conversion
HID install.

The Type-R steering rack is going in now, eric said the previous one was not in working order, and he would have to get another one. Now eric says he almost had to pull out the motor to get to the steering rack. So he said hes working on that right now.

The set of TEIN FLEX that i paid 1400 for, magically turned into GABS. I had no problem with this, as eric told me they were new, and better than the TEINS. My main concern was that he was going to charge me more. which he didn't...But now to my discontent I find that the GABS are used, and the springs are **** (according to vtecvoodoo, who has seen my car). Not acceptable at all, Eric is going to have to buy me a brand new suspension, or give me money to buy one. A used suspension for 1400 dollars will not cut it. I dont care what brand it is.

The S2000 Wheels that were supposed to be ordered from Jeff@hybridautomotive about 2 months ago. Were just ordered today, by me. I have to find another set of 5 lug wheels I can use until I get the s2000 wheels shipped down to my house. That means I have to buy a set of wheels, just for a few days, so I can get my car BACK from his shop. because i refuse to let it stay there any longer.

As for my Wiring woes, I just needed a corner lamp harness replaced, have him check the wiring on one of my sidemarkers that worked before I originally took it to his shop for the engine swap. I asked him to hook my power door locks up to my alarm, because after the swap, my power door locks no longer worked. and the solenoids were stuck open, which means I could not lock my car. Now I had a huge problem with the tail light harness, as the plugs did not even go in the tail lights, seemed that they were from a different car. I asked eric if there was something he could do about this, or get a replacement harness from honda. He said it was no problem, yet I get a call from his last night stating that the wiring for the tail lights is funny, and nothing he did worked. Which in my eyes means he looked at it, and then left it alone. I wanted it to be fixed because the bulbs were just sitting in the tail lights, not plugged in, just barely resting in there.

Eric has lied to me numerous times about the status of my car, and the ETA that he would bring the car down to my house. I have a ******* life too, I cannot spend all day long sitting around my house hoping for him to call or show up. THIS WAS ORIGINALLY SUPPOSED TO TAKE 2 WEEKS and now i am entering the second month, or maybe even more. im so disgusted i have lost track of time. This has interfered with my school, my social life, and my home life.

Simply stated: Erics poor business ethics, quiant lies, and shady business ARE RUINING MY ******* LIFE. HE KNOWS THIS. YET HE DOESNT GIVE A ****, BECAUSE HE CONTINUES TO TREAT ME LIKE A SECOND RATE CUSTOMER WHO CAN JUST WAIT FOR HIM WHENEVER HE IS READY.

Eric Hernandez owes me:
--1 BRAND NEW DAMPER SETUP VALUED AT 1400 or MORE--or--$1400 CASH

--850 dollars for the s2000 wheels that HE DIDNT BUY (which i bought today, after i created a paypal account, talked to jeff on the phone, and sent the money out) ALL IN LESS THAN A ******* HOUR!!!!!!!


I am beyond dissapointed, He has had my car for 2 months, and he has contacted me as little as possible. First he told me the wheel bearing on the 5 lug was bad, and I wait. Then little things keep going wrong so I keep waiting. 2 months later I find out that I am going to have to do more than half the things eric said he was going to do for me. Instead of eric driving down here to deliver my car, like he told me so many times he would, I have to drive up to riverside, WITH ANOTHER SET OF WHEELS THAT I HAVE TO PAY FOR, and drive the piece of **** home.

Now with all of this going on, and with eternalEKs original complaint, I want to take my car to another shop to have it looked at. The swap and all, I am going to call hasport and ask them to look it over and see if there was anything wrong with it. After looking at their K20A EK swap, and comparing it to what I have under my engine bay, I am very dissapointed, and worried that something was not done right. If anyone can help me or point me in the right direction, I'd really appreciate it. I can't take this bullshit anymore.

As for Eric Hernandez(K20EG) I know you come on honda-tech, and I know you read these, despite your lack of presence and rebuttle in the forums. I am never going to deal with you, or talk with you again. I want my money back in full, and if you have a problem with that, you will be speaking about this problem to my lawyer. I don't want to go that way, I am a nice person, and the last thing I want to do is mess up anybodys life, no matter how much they fucked me over. I know its stupid, but its how i am. So just give me my money back. I will never do business with you again, I will never contact you again, I will never speak to you again.

All I will remember from you is: A mistake.

This isn't the first negative thread I've read about K20EG. He appears to be more of a shady grease monkey than a true mechanic. All I know is, I wouldn't trust him with my car. Good luck with the situation and hope your car gets fixed.

Do you really think I am this stupid? I was talking to eric about the swap when it was still in the early stages, I have known him for almost a year now. and I have even spent the night at his house a few times( for my car of course), he never seemed like a bad guy out in the open, but the stuff he did behind peoples was always the shady ****.

i only had my car in the shop once for my stereo install and i didnt pay for it until i saw it and *liked* the results...

should have done your own work. 5 lug and coilover install isnt the hardest thing in the world. you kinda got hosed. i would go and get my car from there asap before **** gets missing. i wouldnt come on here and talk bad about them espically if they have your car in there shop, some shops are shady as ****, make sure all your parts in order and working condtion before you leave.

There are plenty of good business that aren't registered with the BBB. It is comletely voluntary and a lot of business don't like the way the BBB does things.

However, I have heard that you need some sort of license to work on cars in California, which Eric doesn't have.

Ok, first of all, If I listened to your first sentence, I wouldn't be on honda-tech period.

Second, every time Eric would finally give me a call I would keep a calm positive attitude because where is yelling and screaming gonna get? Eric told me himself, in these exact words "the more you push me to do it, the longer i'll take" so i simply didn't want to push him, and I was nice enough to let him go at his own pace because he always gave me false deadlines.

I don't know why you are so quick to defend eric when you yourself admit that he is a bad businessperson. I can't thank you enough for welding my exhaust that night, because if not that would've meant that I had to stay at erics house for 3 nights waiting for my car to be finished, when originally I was supposed to go up there and pick it up.

SUICIDE ATTEMPTS? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA, good one. I have neither the time nor the idiocy to call the person that works on my car, to complain about wanting to kill myself. I don't know where you got that one from but, swing and a miss buddy.


If you didn't read the thread title, it stated "JUN EK9's experiences with the infamous K20EG", nowhere in there did it say "i dont have *****, and i want to start an online thread so i can bitch and moan and whine"

I CANT GET MY CAR, BECAUSE THE CAR HAS NO WHEELS, BECAUSE ERIC DID NOT BUY THEM. So I am scrambling around last minute trying to find wheels.

Jumpmann you are right, I should've done my own work. But Eric said he could get good prices on parts, and so instead of doing it myself I let him handle it. I thought the first time around with the swap just took awhile because it was prototype and new and whatever. lesson learned.

 

I don't know, call me a jackass but why do we give him the opportunity to **** us over? I have seen threads a mile long questioning and derailing his accountability and business ethic.
