Project Coupe: New wheels and tires are on!
Wheels: 90-93 Integra 14 inch alloys
Tires: Falken Zeix ZE-512
Well today I picked up my wheels from Jim @ J&S Polishing here in Colorado Springs then my tires where waiting for me at Discount tire so I stop there to get them mounted and balanced.
Price Breakdown
Wheels: $80 (picked up from my boy Ron!)
Tires: $350 (included mounting, balancing, and warranty)
Polishing: $160 (Thanks Jim!)
Total: $590
I'm happy with the final product. After the first test drive you can tell that the stock wheels and tires needed to go. At first it felt like I had power steering in the car cause the steering wheel was alot easier to turn! When on the road you can defintaly feel the difference, alot smoother response when driving also the old wheel/tire combo had loud road noise when drving, with this new setup you cant even tell that I'm drving. Overall a upgrade that was long over due. Only 2 of the old tires matched and they where in the back an the front two tires where bald! Here are some pics for your veiwing pleasure
New Wheel/Tire

New Wheel
Nice!

Maybe he doesn't want a wheel that everyone and their 5th cousin has. Also, FutureSi: $350 for those mediocre tires...I got my 14" Azenis for less than $260 (which is still overpriced) and that included mounting, balancing, and warranty +free rotations and flat fixes.

WTF with the "project coupe" ****? I am so tired of hearing people say "project hatch" and "project car". It is a car folks. Addtionally, your "project" has wheels, that's it? I am glad I didn't undertake such a huge project.

Well I have not set a special name for the "project". This is the offical "project car" of http://www.5gcivic.com and I'm basically taking this stock honda civic dx and showing the build up process of building one of these cars
Yes this is just the first step so all the car has is wheels and thats it for now. I have a set of gsr brakes waiting to be installed and also will be ordering a set of full thread coilovers and a itr rear sway. So the suspension of the car is first on the list...

Sorry, I retract my previous statements. This car is one of a handful that would actually fit in the project car category. Cool how you are wanting to show the whole buildup on your website (which looks very good BTW). I am sorry.

Sweet! Azeni's for $170... plus $60 for shipping and handling??? Damn that is harsh. I can get them local at Discount Tire for $60/tire mounted, balanced.

Call a Discount Tire... when they fixed my flat I asked for quote. With tax, it was like $260 out the door.
