Difference between LS GS-R Type R RS
im 16 and looking to get an accord or teg or something...im new to tegs and i feel stupid asking this but, wat is the differences in detail between ls, gs-r, type r and the rs?
Wow......do a search. This has been covered many times.
For a quick listing of motor differences, click here: http://www.bseries.net/html/specs/benginespecs.php
Otherwise, I'm sure people will chime in about the aesthetic differences. Keep in mind, that you may get different responses because each model had different things with different years.
Example: Integra RS came with power locks in one year and no power locks in another.

Simple answer, the gs-r and type r are more performance oriented, the rest are just option packages more or less. Leather, power mirrors, etc...
As far as teg vs. accord, accords are for hauling friends, tegs are for hauling ***, because anyone you subject to the rear seat will not like you (coupe at least).

screw it... ill give you a super-deluxe basic rundown.
RS,GS,LS,SE basic models, equipped w/ the b18b1 engine or the *b18a1 engine (*for some models under 1994)
standard equipment varies by model, LS gets equipped w/ like power everything and a moonroof. the SE (special edition) comes w/ leather seats, etc etc.
transmission has longer gears and unmodified versions of these cars are well suited for economy every day driving, street and highway.
(dont be swayed they are still fun as hell to drive)
b18b1 engine
Horsepower 140 @ 6300 RPM
Torque 128 @ 5200 RPM
DOHC (dual overhead cam) non-vtec.
GSR, equipped with the b18c1 engine. leather optional. upgraded transmission (shorter gearing) tighter suspension upgrades. (basically an upgraded LS model that includes an entirely differant engine and transmission)
GSR Horsepower 170 @ 7600 RPM
Torque 124 @ 6200 RPM
DOHC, VTEC (variable valve timing and electronic lift control)
Type-R, the covetted integra model, the rarest and most expensive. highly sought after, and theft envied. the interior comes in black suede with red stitching.
equipped with the b18c5 engine. upgrades to entire car. the chassis is put together differantly then all other integra models. it is overall a much stiffer and better handling car. suspension also sits a little lower and tighter. equipped with thicker sway bars. strut tower bar. trunk brace. thicker mounting points. etc. etc. (race inspired) brakeing system upgraded. 5 lug rims instead of 4. carbon fiber interior. lots of goodies
Type-R
Horsepower 195 @8000 RPM
Torque 130 @ 7000 RPM
DOHC & VTEC
now just reading these numbers you may auotmatically go "holy crap batman i want a type-r" well my son, alot of us do. they are rare and expensive, so i suggest you drop it. then you may tell yourself, "gee willickers, that GS-R thingy has the second most horsepower.. i-i-i waaant one of those daddy" well my son that's just prefferance. In My Opinion vtec and the gsr are overrated. (hold flames please) for you i would suggest a nice LS model. it's an awesome starting point for a new driver like yourself. and as you come to learn more about integras you will learn that it hits it's peak torque level sooner then the GSR model.
"what the hell does that mean?" well grasshopper, it means at first, you will accelerate faster then a GSR untill about 3rd gear, then that GSR will pass you.
"well w-w-w-well i wanna win man" keep in mind there are tons of ways to change all of that. if i say anymore your brain will explode so remember my name and pm me anytime you have some questions.

They are exactly the same. Depending on the years, the LS had a 1mm thicker front sway bar than the GSR. Yes, that's right. LS was thicker in the front.
I believe the newer ones are all the same. But it's a negligible difference, so we say it's just the same.
