Just curious, not getting one anytime soon, but how much louder than stock is this exhaust? I've been reading that it's one of the quietest aftermarket exhaust systems you can get. Does it yield good power gains? Are there any other comparable exhaust systems? Any info is appreciated

 

I have a rsr and its quiet. anything below 3500-4000 rpm is like stock but anything higher then that you can hear it but still one of the quietest exhuast. You'll hear intake/filter more then the exhuast. I love it.....i heard apex WS is quiet also...

 

i use to have an rs*r exahaust on my 01 gsr coupe. it registered 84db at 4.750rpm which is well below california limit 95db.

 

i also have a rs-r and it is very quiet

 

ditto on the RSR, it's quiet and smooth, does not making those obnoxious exhaust note that wakes everyone up and yet you're only doing 15mph, good fit and finish, only thing that's comparable would be hytech or mugen twin loop, but RSR doesn't yield as much power as if you compared to straight thru ones either, compromise, their rolled exhaust tip does look oem on tegs tho,

here's a vid i made a long time ago. b4 i put in header and cat. and i dind't rev it high....maybe 3k-4k?

 

What are the power gains over a stock exhaust? Where in the rev range does it free up power the most?

Are there any exhausts that are as quiet but yield better power?

rsr exmag catback and aem sri put my old '97 gsr at 152hp to the wheels.

i have to go to work, so i dont have time to dig up my old posts, and sound clips.
but just keep searching the archives, and recent for rsr or quietest exhaust, etc

 

I'm planning to get a RS*R ExMag as well anyone care to list how much they got theirs for and from where? I was at the mechanics the other day and while my car was jacked up I noticed my exhaust rusting pretty badly. Any suggestions of where I can get the best price would be appreciated.

 

Mine came from a junk yard. It is the older one that is all silver i paid 350 but they dont make these any more.
