Is J's Racing Carbon Fiber intake worth it?
I have AEM CAI right now and want to know if it's worth switching.........I am not very familiar with the J's racing intake and have never seen dynos of it on any car.........but it's one big *** intake

Are you sure about that?

how much more power could he make by buying another intake over the one he already has???
to me its just a waste of money to buy another one if he already has one

Depends on what you want. I went from AEM CAI to the J's.
The J's offered much much better throttle response and the power was good. Comparable if not better than the AEM depending on what your setup is.
The J's does suffer in standing drag races though but I got it for throttle response and track.

Only with modification to the a/c lines.

Heres a dyno of a guy who had a ITR intake arm with a K&N filter, then he put on the Js racing intake......

As you can see he gained 17whp ! Now do you think its worth it????

you just have to move the lines if it doesn't fit, and that's usually on a gs-r intake manifold.
the throttle response is ridiculous. i helped sinatra install a fake one on his car, and holy crap, instant throttle response! u can get some fake knockoffs or if you want the CF bling factor, memoryfab (www.memoryfab.com) has a knockoff as well!

Good response, I had the same results with mine

Yes, but the gains you will see from an intake also depend on other mods you have made, for example if he also had headers and exhaust, you will see more gains from the intake then someone who did not.

http://www.jhpusa.com has REAL J's racing intakes. They are 280. I like my combo of Comptech Short Ram w/ A'PEXi Power Filter.
i was going to order a j's racing cf intake too for my GSR but turns out they only made it for DC2R. i guess right now its either move the lines or get something else.
