looks as reliable as a phantom grip lsd. And from first hand experience, phantom grip sucks ***. OBX has never made anything worth a damn, why would they start now?

I agree OBX isnt exactly a name to go with. Pay cheap once and have to buy better next time. Or buy best avalible now and be better off in the long run? Id rather go with a good trusted company then with a Brand I dont really know.

Go kaaz or quaiffe and save yourself the trouble of pulling your tranny or possibly destroying it when the cheap lsd gives way.

I know its been said on here before but, I will say it once again, OBX stuff is made by other companies, so in theory if the company that makes the diff for them is decent...

however every piece I've seen from OBX has been **** regardless so who knows

Kaaz is a clutch type LSD, where Quaife is gear. The Kaaz will wear out and will need maintenance eventually, that's all. I like the Quaife though, it's super strong and has a lifetime warranty even if you race.

heres a few pics of the so called good LSD. this thing was 3 months old. daily driver, street/track car. 99 EX w/ GSR motor, basic bolt ons, cams and untuned. low HP motor. all that was internal failure and had nothin to do with install.

yeah, "race part only" when i called them it was goin to cost more to fix it than replace the whole unit. bottom of the line is, it wasnt abused, it was broke in correctly, i used their tranny oil and it still broke. $900 bones out the door.

OBX is definately iffy. And I like everyone who bashes phantom grip style lsd's also even though they have been tried and proven. Alot of people have bad experiences with them because they just slap them into place, when really there is tranny prep needed before installation. Any way, I would have to see some trial and error and feedback before I spent my money on this obx unit. So who is willing to be the one to step up to the plate and give it a try??? lol

Well guys, I will let you know how it is because I pulled the trigger and bought one last night. Hopefully it is a nice copy and it will work well. They also are selling stage 1-3 skunk 2 copies. Gotta love the price if its good quality.

I think I will get one in the future

I just had to sell my ITR lsd so i could get a new tranny becuase of financial problems (I had to sell my old transmission to pay a debt otherwise my car was going to be reported stolen , I forgot about a remaining balance on my car)

I will be one of the guinea pigs for this in the future. I will have4 it installed on a ~180-190whp LS/VTEC so it will be put through the ringers
