Default The search for dust boots continues....

Well I installed my Koni Ground Controls last week, and I tried to find something to cover the shock piston since the stock dust covers won't work as intended w/ coilover springs. So after searching I found this pic from JonsteR:

He said he got them from AutoZone, so I went there, and the only thing they had was this:

I fit this universal rack and pinion boot over one of my shocks, and it seem to fit pretty well, but it seemed to fit pretty tightly inside the spring. I pretty much had to force the boot inside the spring. I'm not sure if that would work very well w/ the movement of the spring all the time while driving.

Has ANYBODY found ANYTHING that I can use to cover the entire shock piston? Cutting the stock covers as GC recommends is pointless and renders the stock dust covers useless. Has anyone seen a company making full adjustable coilovers w/ dust boots that I might be able to get the dust boots separately?? TIA

Give Ali a call at TODA Racing USA/AKH Trading. I have the FIGHTEX coilovers and they came with a dust boot that you can get seperately from him.

HOLY smokes they want $25 each for those boots, and it would take 5 weeks to get to me!!!

I think I'll stick w/ what I have, assuming it stays together.

I just bought a set of 4 Energy Suspension dust boots from pep boys online for $13 shipped. They had them in black too unlike summit racing. Putting them on with my GCs once they arrive. I'll let you know how it works out.
