K-Series Aftermarket cranks.???
Sonny Bryant makes some of the best cranks out there. Granted, they are not cheap, but they are worth it. That is all we use.. They are in Orange, Ca. Not to far from where you are. I don't have a number on me, but you should be able to call information and get the number.
Crower. We have 6 custom cranks from them. They are all top notch! And as John said, Sonny Bryant is a great crank, so is Moldex. But figure to spend no less than $2400 and up!
Haha, Sonny Bryant and I went on a double date with a couple of girls back in the late 60's or early 70's. Shows you how old I am. Neither of us scored with them
Sonny was running a ProStock car back then

Hey Vince how about I take a stock and aftermarket crank and smack you around with them?
actually i'm just curious if the K cranks can hold lots of power like the B series are.

To tell all of you the truth on a honda crank. I am not talking Mazda or Dodge cause we all know what happens to those cranks at high horsepower. If the motor is built right I have not broken a Honda crank. The only reason we used an aftermarket crank in Steph's H-motor was to get more displacement, but we only had it in for one race the final race for the FWD Pomona
. Oh wait what am I saying we never changed the crank.
I believe Darrin at R&D has cranks for the K motor already. That is what we used in the H-Motor. What am I saying no we did not have a crank.

Out of curiousity, which mazda motors cranks have you known to fail at high HP, and at what HP? I've not heard on a BP crank failing, but then again I've not heard of one making over 450whp either... I'd like to know if I'm going to encounter crank issues

Maybe it is to change the stroke, and not so much about whether or not it breaks.
Okay sorry I take that back the Dodge crank and not so much the Mazda crank. Hey Vince care to chime in and let us know if the Mazda crank can handle the power and to dodge's defense it takes quite a lot of power to break one. Like 850+
To be honest, I have NO IDEA what the Mazda 2.3L crank can handle. It is a stock cast crank so usually they can handle between 500 and 700 H.P. if it is a good cast. I went straight to a billet crank! I am working with Saturn as we speak to produce 500 H.P. crate Ecotec engines using the stock crank, if it can hold it!
Jay, if I were bigger than you.......
The K-series crank looks like it can handle alot. It resembles the B-series crank in all of it's exterior lines and material composition. I think the K crank is right up there with the B, but that is just my personal speculation!

Cause there stronger, and lighter.
Taking more revolutions is better too.
