Forgive my ignorance, but what are "cut" frame sliders?

Some bikes require that the fairings be cut to fit the frame slider. Some companies have released "No Cut" frame sliders that dont require any cutting:

See if you can find the weak point in the sliders (shouldn't be hard).

Better that they snap instead of what they mount to - right?

They say (at least on ebay) that these things do snap easily. They are mainly to protect the fairing when you drop it at a stand still

Ohhhh, I see now. I misread that as "do not buy ANY cut frame sliders." Thanks for the clarification.

Ive always told people they're crap but they're too scared to cut their fairings or too cheap to get someone else to do it. I've seen em snap from a 0mph drop.
