My 2001 CW Canadian R in Michigan!!!!!!
just feel like to share my joy of owning an R with everyone......
the car is bone stock right now...except that I lowered my car with HA....nothing else....and i got a lot to learn.....planning to get mad parts in hk this Xmas..so....

very sweet!!! although I´m not liking the seats but that´s just me, switch to Recaro

Congrats on the R. Haven't seen any other white R's around Ann Arbor, you should be the only one. Sadly, you won't be seeing my R around, as I am putting it away for the winter over Thanksgiving.

I live near pontiac. Work there also, we shoud get together for some kind of meet... I have only seen one R in Ann Arbor in the 5 years I have been Visiting there... I never went to school there, but I visit my friends up there like every weekend. Anyone up for a meet? maybe in the Spring when the weather in nicer, and all the R's are back on the road??? any of you guys going to the EXPO in the spring time?
See you around... if you see a Black R with the Plate TAROBAP parked near tower plaza, that's me!

I wanted to import one from Canada also, because there were no new ones in U.S. But I didn't want to go through all the trouble, so I just wound up buying a used one.

ok it's kinda complicated.....but i will give it a shot:
i first bought the R from canada.....brought it down and registered with the secretary of state....no problem.....then i went up to toronto again....to lower my car....then when i came back down....with a canadian plate.....and with a temporary american license plate.....they asked me if i have properly imported the car....cos u meant to get all the documents that prove ur car meet the US standard....but then i didn't so i gotta go back to canada and get all the documents done...
but here is the catch......u can't get the documents unless u r canadian.....so....it's kinda hard to bring my caar back...but luckily my car is already registered in michigan...so i went back to changed to another license plate then put it onto my R...
so.......i wouldn't recommend doing it so...
let me know if u have any other problems.....and forgot...GO ANN ARBOR R.....heheh

Don't think we've ever met, I actually thought that I had the only black R in Ann Arbor!
Mine is pretty new, I only got in in May this year. Don't think I've seen you at auto-x this year, do you race at all? I'm starting to get into the track myself. I did a lapping day at Gingerman in October and had great fun burning off my tires and brake pads!

ok, can sombody clear this up for me..In canada, there are many Championship White Type-R's and a few Pyellows...and no Blacks....
But what about the US, I've seen some people in pictures with CW type-R's ....
And how come Tensai717 had to import an ITR??how come can't buy it in states??

Charles: Did you take those pics at Gallup Park? That parking lot looks really familiar from my High School days. That wouldn't be a bad place for a Michigan meet... we'd just have to tow (or scare) away all those other junky cars there.
Matt: I was away most of the Summer and went to only one autocross (where I put in the worst performance of my life). I did get to GingerMan a couple times, but not since September I think, so we missed each other. I'll watch for your car. Mine is currently sporting black steel wheels with snow tires so it is easy to spot (although there is also a black GS-R in town with the same black steelies; someone stole my identity!).
Who's up for a type R meet in early December? Maybe the 9th? Just pulling a date out of the air...
