Default Import Tuner Allmotor B-series shootout - who will win ?

Just saw it at the newsstands, apparently OMNIMAN is gonna build the Dynamic motor, he gets to compete against JG, Skunk2, R&D (Bisi) and someone else. Looks like winner based on Peak HP, Peak Tq, largest avg HP, largest avg TQ and best $/hp ratio.
All on 91 octane Cali fuel and no greater than 2.0 liter displacement. They have 4 months to build the motor ...

So who's betting on who ?

I say OMNIMAN and Bisi are gonna be top contenders ... LOL Bisi may try to only tune one cam gear on the b-series though (j/k)

I put my money on Bisi
They wont let Bisi build a single cam because he will make more power than a B

1.RS machines
2.Skunk2
3.Dynamics or JG
4." "
5.Darren from Rnd (I hope he backs up his word about 265 hp on pump gas!)

This is of course is just my opinion I think everybody else is being more "realistic" about there hp figures which is 235-240 I dont knoe about 265 but if Darren does pull it off then great!

omniman ......hell probably just take the motor out of his own personal car and throw it on the engine dyno.....

but this should be really interesting......

I'm going to have to go with Omniman on this one but I'm sure noone will go down easily. Bisi has been known to pull out some stops and I would expect nothing but the best from each of them! Is there a budget or just the time limit of four months... I'm thinking that it's unlimited funds(must be nice) and that's where the $ per hp ratio comes into play, I have my money(no pun intended) on omniman for sure in this catagory after seeing some of his street motors... i.e. 1932cc b20z with only 10.7 compression(stock pistons) that made 225hp on 91octane with some pretty basic parts(intake manifold, tb...).

unfortunaltly all this was held in Cali, basically what Import Tuner did find out the Real engine tuners out in Cali and got them to do it.

Sorta cool and neat to actually find out who are the real players out there .</TD></TR></TABLE>

IT did say that they will go out of westcoast to see other engine builders/tuners for another shoot out....

we socal kids jstu get everything first.... thats jsut routine....

Im going to say Bisi and Omniman will be # 1 and 2, not necessarily in that order though... Could be steve winning, could be Bisi winning...

Than of course you have the sleeping giant, Javier of JG... I think he may be the shocker out of all the competitors... Id like to see what he comes up with...

It takes a lot of know how to make serious power when restricted by 91 octane... Should be interesting to see...

I think Dave is in over his head, this should show everyone hes a midget standing behing a giant marketing ploy... Junk2

Daren can make big power on max bore/stroke race motors but I cant say that Ive ever seen any of R&D's stuff on the street... He likes the "bigger is better" aproach so it should be interesting to see what he can do with displacement restrictions...

Headwork and Cam Choice are going to play a big role here...

I think we'll see full-race setups on some of these motors.

Anyone know if they have to survive a certain ammount of time or anything?

I'm picturing a NASCAR Qualifying Engine.

yeah jg is a contender.

i think money will be a big factor. more money usually equalys more power.

great idea though

Omniman, would be my top choice. Every engine builder (team) in the competition is very good and respectable. Otherwise they wouldn't have been invited to participate.
